Viggle App: Get rewards for watching television!

I thought I was doing good but QVCshopper....$200 that's awesome. I just got to my first 37,500 points to get the BB gift card in a week but I'm not sure how I could have accumulated more points in that time.

Do you have and suggestions on gaining more points.

watch commercials all day/night. Check into multiple bonus point shows. Check into shows all day long.

DH and I can both get over 8k each day, normally it's closer to 10-11k.

I asked earlier in the thread but no one answered...how are you all able to check into more than 1 show an hour (bonus shows)? I can usually do 3 a night, the one on at 7 then 8 then 9. But I keep seeing people say they are able to do all of them.
And my other question...did they lift the 12 hour limit daily? I don't see how people get SO many points (ie- 8k up to 10-11k??). That seems SO high!

I don't know what the 12hour limit is, I thought someone said there was a 12k points limit per day and that's what I told DH to stay under.

You only have to check into a bonus show for 10mins. Then check into the next bonus show and so on.

In their FAQs it states- Too much of a good thing? We don't want you to get square eyes so there's a 12 hour limit for points earning per user per day.
I also didn't know you only had to be checked in for 10 min to earn points, weird that that actually works! I might contact them and ask them if the FAQs is still correct about the 12 hour limit. I'd love to earn more but don't want to get banned like a lot of users did for going over the 12 hour limit several weeks back.

You are only supposed to watch each ad 2x a day...Viggle has stated in their policy agreement that they can take back points or block accounts for abusive ad watching

Never call/email. That's the first rule of any good thing. ;)

12hrs is a lot of time though. How is that calculated anyway? I don't really know how to close it out as I'm not very familiar with ipods and closing out apps. I just click the bottom button and it brings me to the screen with apps to choose from. I guess that's closing it out? Hopefully that doesn't count against my time limit if the ipod is not off.

I'll have to see if I can track how long each day we are logged into the app each day. I really thought it was a 12k points limit. I never read the FAQs. That might be a good thing to check out. ;)

I already sent an email asking. I don't want to get my account locked yet if i'm able to i'd like to earn more points.
The 12 hours has nothing to do with you 'closing' the ap. It's 12 hours of tv you've checked into. For instance I checked into Ellen, that's 1 hour. Then a 1 hour news program, that's 2 hours so far today. They aren't tracking what you are doing on your phone, just what you check into and say you are watching.

they asked how to earn more points. I answered. Everything is at your own risk. I didn't think I needed to add that to my statement.

and I just read through the earnings thing and it said 12k is also the point limit for the day. So it's 12hrs and 12k.

I'm guessing we don't hit 12hrs and I know we don't hit 12k.

Checking into all the Feature Shows every night has really boosted my daily total points! I don't like how Viggle has the shows listed; they aren't in order at all. So I make a quick list in Excel each day for the Featured Shows. Takes me 5 minutes and that allows me to hit all the shows with bonus points. This helps when you need to check-into 4 or 5 shows in the same hour!

Someone asked how you hit all the Feature Shows: Basically you only need to be checked into a Featured Show for 10 minutes to get the bonus points. Check-in for 10 minutes, then move on to the next show, check-in for 10 minutes, etc.

Granted, I can't do this every night. DH and I watch so many shows that we usually have both tuners going, and then I'm stuck watching what's being recorded. Because most of the time our shows don't qualify for the check-in bonuses.

I agree with the other tip: Watch the ads/trailers for points. Those have been a question mark as to how many times you can hit them, but from what I've noticed, you can hit them a lot! As I've stated before, watch these ads at your own risk. I have hit them a lot and have been fine. But I'd hate to tell people to watch the ads as much as you can, and then have you banned from Viggle. :sad1:

So I personally won't post my numbers from doing ads/trailers, but total between check-ins and ads I hit pretty close to 10,000 points on really good days. On an average day I can still hit 7,000 points.

That's with checking in the full 12 hours, Mon-Friday. Usually on the Weekends I come in lower...

Here's the answer they just emailed me...
All of our users are limited to a total of 12 hours of viewing time per day to earn points. They can view for more hours but they will not receive points for that time until 12:01am the following day.

I'm guessing there is a glitch somewhere in the system if people are getting points for more than 12 hours of viewing. I'm going to stick to the 12 hours, I enjoy earning free gift cards too much to mess it up!

I was kidding about the calling/emailing. You must not have gone on slickdeals. Someone is always calling about some deal and that's their motto there.

We must not be checked into 12hrs worth of TV then. But I'll really have to check because it feels like maybe we are because I'll watch the news in the morning and at night and that alone is like 5hrs of TV plus all the evening shows. But I did see it's also a 12k point limit per day too so it's a double limit.

I do see that we watch a TON of TV though even when it's just back ground noise. :rolleyes1

Oh i'm a SD'er :thumbsup2 I just don't read the Viggle thread over there. I'm going to really try to make sure I get my 12 hours everyday and all the ads to see what my max I can get is. It seems like it's really slowed down a lot for me the past couple of weeks for some reason. Of course when you have nights like last night when they crashed that doesn't help lol

still trying to figure out the bonus points thing. I can check into a show for 10 mins and get the bonus points. If the list changes during the day doesn't mean the points for that show have disappeared?

I do the ad thing but I haven't done the multiple check in for shows. I guess that will be next on my list.

Also, do the points disappear from your totals when you redeem or does it take a few days? I redeemed for a gift card and my points are still listed 36 hr later.

The points should disappear immediately, are you sure you redeemed for a gift card? check your rewards history

My points have always disappeared pretty quickly after redeeming a reward. Maybe try logging out and back in to get it to "reset." :thumbsup2

Viggle might update the Featured Shows List during the day. You might want to check it again around 6pm for the final draft!

ok, I am having fun now! Worked the log in angle last night, thanks for sharing! Also hit a bunch of 75 point commercials that were not resetting. Major points there! So far I have one $25 best buy card, 5 movie tickets, $75 in travelocity gift cards, and about 140 points to spend yet.

I was wondering if you can answer 2 things for me please
First how long does it take to get the Lowes gift card
Second can you stack them in the store to use more than one

TIA

I think I am becoming obssessed with Viggle"ing"!! I have a notebook where I write down the programs that are extra points from 8-10pm....plus the channel numbers and points per show....ack!! I have about 43,000 points....thinking about the Best Buy GC as I already have $50 from My Coke Rewards....so I can keep saving and hopefully buy myself a present soon! I try to check into In Session on Tru TV as it plays from 9am-3pm daily.....so a bunch of points right there!

Oh - I am so addicted! I've been doing this about a week, and I've earned a $5 Starbucks card, two $15 Chili's cards, and have another 10,000 points racked up. Not bad considering I work full time and we were in Disney for a few days!

I hope they continue to add more gift card options - like Disney?!?!? Please!

I searched high and low on Lowes website and couldn't find out anything about using more than one card in a transaction....hopefully someone else will know the answer to this.

How long does it take it save up for a Lowes card? Depends on how much you 'Viggle.'

Regular TV watching: up to 12 hours per day at 2 points per minute. (That's 1,440 per day.) If you have the ability to check into shows for 12 hours.

Feature Show check-in bonuses: Average from 200 to 300 points per show. This is in addition to the regular points listed above.

Ads for points: These range from 15 to 100 points each.

I've been reading on Viggle's FB page, and it's interesting to see how long it takes for people to save for their reward. Some said it took them 2 weeks to get a $5 GC, (like the Lowes GC.) Others can get a $5 GC in 2 or 3 days.....just depends on how much you Viggle!

I am lucky that I'm at home during the week Mon - Friday. So it's very easy for me to hit that 12 hours everyday. The weekend varies though.
