Viggle App: Get rewards for watching television!

ok, I see you can take the Best Buy rewards to Best Buy and get an Amazon gift card and I think I read somewhere that you can even redeem them online for a physical Best Buy gift card.

Do you know if you can do anything like that with the JCPenney rewards? I think I've decided I'd like to redeem for JCP, but I'd rather be able to switch all the $10 rewards certificates for an actual gift card. I like to send gift cards with the girls when they go shopping, and I know they wouldn't like messing with the clerk having to key in all the numbers for them to use them.

I thought if I could switch them out, it wouldn't be such a pain for them! We definately don't want to inconvenience teenagers! :rolleyes1

I just need a small vacation from Viggle...not worrying when my check-ins are, not grabbing my phone to search for ads. But it's like I can't stop myself......"My name is diznee25 and I'm a Viggler." :lmao:

:rotfl2: I think this is true for many of us! :rotfl2: I am a teacher and this is my spring break. We couldn't afford a vacation this year so I have spent every morning of my break Viggling!

I know that many of us have questions about the rewards. I thought I would post my experiences with some of them and others could post theirs.

1. Starbucks - I have taken several of the e-cards into Starbucks and had them put on one Starbuck gift card. My DD is going on a trip to Chicago with her school choir and this will help her with some treats!

2. iTunes - Haven't done these and don't plan on it.

3. Best Buy - I have brought 3-$25 eGift Cards into the store. I had 2 of them put on a regular Best Buy gift card. I spent part of another one and the employee wrote the amount left over on the paper for me. I plan on buying a Christmas gift for DS at some point.

4. Barnes & Noble - I have brought in 5 - $5 gift cards and spent them all at once in the store. DD needed study materials for her AP exam. I want to get a few more and bring them in to buy regular gift cards that I can use for gifts.

5. Papa Johns - I haven't gotten any of these but would like to. Has anyone gotten them and been successful in redeeming enough to pay for a full delivery order?

6. Sephora - I have redeemed a bunch of these. HUGE thanks to diznee25 who shared how to put 4 codes in the gift card code box and then call Sephora to apply more. I plan on ordering many more of these because DD can always use make-up.

7. Banana Republic - Haven't done these and don't plan to.

8. JCPenny - Haven't done these and don't plan to.

9. Lowe's - I am considering these. Again, has anyone brought in a bunch to the store and turned them into regular gift cards? DH and I need a water softener and I could get a bunch of money off by doing this.

10. Burger King - I have redeemed 1 of these. I am considering redeeming 1 more. Today I plan on bringing it to BK and seeing about turning it into a regular gift card. Again, DD could bring it with her to Chicago to help with food costs.

11. Foot Locker - I would like to redeem for Foot Locker if I knew that I could redeem several in one order. Anyone have luck with these?

12. Old Navy - Haven't done these and don't plan to.

13. Fandango - Haven't done these and don't plan to. Movies here are only $5 for early showings and that is what we do so it is not worth the points to us.

14. CVS - Haven't done these and don't plan to.

15. Hulu Plus - Consider trying this out so that we can cancel cable for at least the summer. Would like to know if anyone has been able to use them for multiple months?

16. Travelocity - Haven't done these but might try it for our trip this summer. Glad to know I can redeem up to 4 of them on one reservation.

17. Chili's - We have redeemed many of these and done multiple in one dinner seating.

The rest on the list are ones that I haven't done and don't plan on trying. Hope some people will have tried the ones that I am looking for information about and that this information helps others.

I am really lucky because we have multiple iPads at my house and will be able to get the $500 in redemption value on each of them.

Wow! What a great list and great idea! I haven't redeemed for anything yet, but I'm up to 57,000 points, so need to decide on something.

Good to know about Starbucks and Chili's as I haven't redeemed for these yet, but might in the future.

Yep, I can vouch for both B&N and Best Buy....I've gone in with my e-certificate print outs, used multiple ones at each store. And the same thing with me, the cashier at Best Buy wrote down the extra amount on my last e-certificate that he scanned and handed it back to me.

That's also how Sephora works. Sephora employee on the phone said if there is residual amount on the last e-code you have, you can keep it to use next time.

CVS - they have to type them in and I got a LOT of grief from a cashier over these. Like she really thought I was doing some scam, seriously made me mad.

JCP - they have to type them in but no issue in using multiple ones, it just takes a bit.

ON - those just scan in (YAY!) and no issues at all with using them

Does anyone know if there is a way to mark the rewards you have used? I have several in my rewards in my history and have used a few. It would be nice if I could delete or mark those as used so its easier to keep track of them. Also, any word on where the movie money went?

You have to use the drop down list to find the movie tix under their point value.

Someone was asking about Lowe's and I saw that in there too.

I don't think there is a way to mark them off in the app, but here is what I do:

Viggle should e-mail you a copy of your rewards. If you are not getting e-mail confirmations for rewards, do the following: click profile pic, click the spokes wheel. Then scroll down to "Resend Confirmation E-mail." Click that. Then check your e-mail and click link in that e-mail. Then you should be to go!

Back to what I do....because Viggle e-mails me my rewards I just created a new folder and move all my rewards there. Then as I use them, I delete them. Pretty simple, but an easy way to keep track of rewards. :thumbsup2

I am saving up my JCP gift cards to buy an island cart for my kitchen. I know I have to order it in the store to use more than TWO codes. My question is, if they don't sell it AT the store and have to order it. Can I still use as many ecard codes as I want? I have $260 right now. $40 more and I will be able to purchase the one I want!!!

I had read on SD that there was a limit of 20 that you could use at a time. Someone else posted there that 18 was the limit. You might want to check with JCP to double check this! Good Luck!

DH and I had a date night out at Chili's - drinks and all! Gotta love date nights paid for by Viggle! :cool1:

Thanks, found it.

Also, thanks Diz for ideas on keeping track of used rewards.

Not sure if anyone is Viggling right now, but for the past 10 minutes I've been pounding out Gatorade ads under soccer, (first one)! Check it out...hope it works for others. :thumbsup2

Hey, heads up to everyone...TKAM is 1000 point bonus right now and doing decent 50 point questions

Thanks for letting us know! I have been in and out of the trivia, and every time I was in, they were always in between questions so I never figured out what they were worth.

Guess I'll stay in now, 50 point questions are pretty decent. Just got one correct! :woohoo:

It took me forever to check in - I tried both the audio check in, and the type-in method, but I finally got in. I'm doing the trivia game along with the show.

Sure wish they had Disney GCs!

;)

No it's not $500 per device. It's $500 per person who qualifies for an account, so if you were to have 3 people with devices in your home you could have three accounts.

You can Viggle on more than one device?

No it's not $500 per device. It's $500 per person who qualifies for an account, so if you were to have 3 people with devices in your home you could have three accounts.

We have multiple devices and 4 people who are old enough to have accounts. So yes, we can get $500 each for a potential total of $2000.

My kids don't really like to have their iPads tied up on Viggle so I am often on my iPad logged in to their accounts to bring their points up.
