Viggle App: Get rewards for watching television!

I guess I need to be careful with my manual check-ins since someone was banned because they were caught not watching the show. The thing is, my husband goes to bed early and I watch TV quietly in bed with him. The TV is so quiet the app doesn't pick up the sound even if I am watching the qualifying show. Grrrrrrr. Oh well. I do a lot of audio checking in the next day to shows as well so hopefully that will balance things out.

Just cashed out another iTunes card and halfway to another one.

For the people whos ipod freezes from ads: Here is a list of ads that will not freeze your ipod:

Technically you can't get caught 'not watching shows.' But I get what you're saying. However, I do several manual check ins during prime time, (since January), and have never been banned. But I'll usually hit a couple shows at night with the audio check in. So maybe with doing a mix, it doesn't flag.

I think that's the key with not getting banned. Mix it up. Don't just do 100% manual check ins. And don't watch the same ad several times, (or hundred of times!) in a row. And don't accumulate all 6,000 of your daily points with just hitting ads! I know other Viggle users (on other forum boards do this.) Some get away with it, and others get flagged. Too risky IMO.

If you do a variety of things in the app, mix it up and keep it fresh, then you should be fine.

Yeah I mix it up, even with the Basketball game I was only playing so many at a time. And I have never hit the daily max, I don't want to put THAT much time/effort into it.

Usually you see one big 50,000pt reward at a time. So when Best Buy goes away Target or Amazon will probably come back.

I'm going to guess no, or at the very least, not anytime soon. And that's really just based on Viggle's 'question of the day.' The question one day was, "What new reward, (that hasn't been in the catalog), would you like to see?" Unless they plan to increase the size of the catalog, this tells us that they might be replacing some of the current rewards. Which could be sad, depending on which ones go.

Many of the new rewards that were suggested could easily be $25 GCs. So guess we'll have to wait and see. I'll just keep cashing out for Best Buy until it's gone. I definitely can't assume that Best Buy will be around forever! But whether or not it'll be replaced with Target cards is yet to be seen..

I haven't had any points update sance 8:00 so I think it's safe to assume they are back to a severe lag...strange I don't think they've had a lag like this in a while

I did notice this too, but I got +12 for CMT so I don't think that's the problem. I just didn't get my bonus.

hmmmm....I just looked and I see that I did just get a +300 for CMT so I'm not sure why you only got 12

Yea me too. I only got 21 points not the bonus points however my dh got the bonus points. Not sure what is up with that. I m going to try via dvr tomorrow.

Very bad point lag last night. I woke up this morning with loads of points that came in between 2:00am and 6:00am. When I looked at my phone I thought - wow did I get up in the middle of the night and viggle for some bonus points (ha ha). Seems slow this morning also but they are coming in.

Has anyone heard any additonal info on the $50 JetBlue vacations credit that can be had for 30,000 points? We're planning a trip in November and could use JB due to some travel credit I have. Can you redeem more than one of these on a trip?

I have not used this but reading it, it looks like you can only use it for a vacation package - not just airfare. You might need to add a hotel or something on to make it a package. Would love to hear from someone that has used this or that has contacted them to find this out.

Viggle has been advising everyone to reset their devices, and then the points should appear. If that doesn't work contact Viggle.

Yep, that's the worst lag I've ever seen. Clocked into all the shows (except for 1) live last night. Phew, what a workout! I'm just glad it was a lag, and not a case of some shows not crediting bonus points. That's always a bigger pain to deal with.
