we've never stayed at BCV, but just booked for my mom at the end of this month. in your opinion, what is the best view or room request? i asked MS for epcot, but the CM warned me that it faces the back of the resort, so i left it without a request. any suggestions? thank you!

Just stayed at BCV for the first time in September. We asked for an upper floor, view of the quiet pool. We ended up in one of the "tower" rooms on the 5th floor, overlooking the entrance driveway to the left, the pool and canal directly below, and the other wing of BCV to the right. I thought it was lovely....at night, the pool area and walkways were all lit up. The other plus is that we had one of the huge, triangular-shaped balconies!

I have only requested Non Smoking rooms at BCV, never a particular view. We have gotten the pool view twice - one 5th floor room that also overlooked the parking lot - didn't care for that too much, and once on the 2nd floor - Loved that room - right near the main elevators, just high enough to be away from pool noise and not too high to see the parking lot.
The third room was a view of the walkway back to the main hotel & the valet stand. That was OK - it was fun to people watch.

We were in room 424, a dedicated 2 bedroom. I believe 420 and 422 were a studio and 1 bedroom right next door. Lovely view of the woods/creek and excellent view of the fireworks from Epcot at night. Very close to the elevator and short short short walk to Epcot!

thank you. so it sounds like asking for a high level with a view of epcot would be great. anyone have a bad experience with that?

We just returned and had villa 461(studio). We had a great view of EPCOT and watched Illuminations every night. The room is right off the elevator and has a stairway on one side and a 1 bedroom on the other. It was a very quiet room. The balcony was double sized because it was on a sort of corner in the middle of the building. There was a courtyard below and a road beyond that but we never heard much traffic. Keep in mind that the EPCOT view that you get is of the back of the countries and future world buildings. It is not like you have a front view of EPCOT. We thought that the room was wonderful and like I said, you could see all of the higher fireworks from Illuminations.

It was a little walk to the main buildings and SAB, but all you had to do was go down the elevator and out the door in front of you to get to the quiet pool(or villas pool).

The downside is that there is a main road that runs right along that side of the resort. It's travelled by busses and guest vehicles.

I believe we were in studio 522 a few weeks ago, which had a great view of Epcot. However, it was way to cold to have the door open, so we settled for watching the fireworks through our closed door. Worked out great, but in the warmer months you'd proabably either want the door open or to be sitting on the balcony. In those situations, you'll pick up some noise from the road--particularly the lower level rooms.

We like to ask for a woods view (although the woods has been scrubbed down to shrubs by the hurricanes). The view is outdoorsy and very quiet.

My recommendation would be to try and stay as close to the main elevators as you can unless you like to walk. I would also stay away from the first floor.
I've had both the EPCOT and the Quiet Pool views and have enjoyed them both. Believe it or not on a clear night you have a pretty good view of Wishes at the Magic Kinkdom, even though it a long way away. You don't say what type of room you're getting otherwise I could give you some room numbers.

My preference would be woods/Epcot; or really anything other than the entrance of dreaded parking lot view :) !

Thanks

At Thanksgiving last year we had a Dedicated 2 Bedroom with 2 Queens, villa 309. It faced the walkway to the main building. The Ariel statue was directly below our balcony. Loved this area b/c it was close to main elevator, quiet pool, BC and a short walk to SAB. And now that you can refill the mugs at the Marketplace, I will probably try to get this same area in June. The only other thing I might try is to be close to the walkway to Epcot.

As long as I am not out in the north 40, I'll be happy to be in WDW! :cloud9:

We have stayed at BCV twice. Both in a dedicated 2 BR. Both times we also had an Epcot View. Our balcony did face the main road, but we didn't care. The view of the fireworks from Epcot every night were worth it. The kids loved sitting on the balcony watching them.

We just got back from room 368 (dedicated two bedroom with two queen beds and two full balconies off Master and LR), and we had what they call "Water View," which can be pool or canal. Our only requests were non-smoking, non-handicaped. The CM I talked to said you can request pool or canal, but the room is in their system as, "Water View." FYI...this room is right near the pool elevator :)

We got both pool and canal view with this room and loved, loved, loved it! The canal was sort of in front and to our right a bit, coming towards us, and the quiet pool was to our left. The view was so beautiful, especially at night with everything lit up.

I can see the advantages of the other views as well - Epcot (fireworks), courtyard (quiet and shorter walk to BC, though walk from our locale was not bad at all), but I would definetly have no problem if we got this view again.

Thanks!! You guys are helping with my obsession to find all the ded. 2bdrm w/2 Q's. Two more that I didn't have down. I'm getting close to identifing them all. I'm starting to think there are 28, not 25, and that they all have only windows in the second bedroom.

DisneyFreak, are you sure it was #309? Could it have been 307? What I have (which may or may not be correct) shows a dedicated 1 bedroom first when coming from the elevators in 309 then a dedicated 2 bdrm in 307.

ArRzbk- We had a Dedicated 2 bedroom right across the hall in 367 last trip. We had the water view of the other side of the canal! (and of course the bridge over the canal!) We did enjoy watching the fireworks at night from our room in our PJ's! ....and popcorn!

I thought there was a post not too long ago that said they were no longer accepting "Epcot view" requests.
