Are there any Magic Kingdom views from Chef Mickeys? We'll be eating dinner there for our first time next month.:D

We ate there Christmas morning and had a beautiful view of the castle. There are two sections I know of that have windows that look directly out towards the MK.

We had breakfast at Chef Mickey's in September and had a fantastic view of the castle. We did not request it, we just lucked out. Our table was right next to the window and we could see the castle perfectly.

What can you see from Chef Mickey's?

Let's see... the monorail going and coming through the building and lots of doors leading to guest rooms---lol.

Sorry, no view of the MK... you will have to eat at the California Grille, Narcoosees, or 'Ohana to enjoy that view.

That is exactly what I thought, I even posted that there was no way to see MK from CM's. I deleted it however thinking somehow I was remembering wrong. However for the life of Me, I can't figure out how you could see MK from CM's, it is on the wrong side of the building.

I just went back to look thru pictures to see if I had any of the view. However, I only have video of it. We were up next to the window in the far corner of Chef Mickey's and you can definetly see the castle. I'll keep looking to see if I can find a picture to post b/c it was really nice.

Edited to add pictures

We were just there and I was ready to agree, no view.
However they have a couple of rooms in the back off to the right when you come in that may have a view of MK. Most of the table look out on the MONORAIL and the hotel.

Been at CM many times, would love to know if I missed this great view.

You definitely missed it!:D You are right though, there are two sections in the back that have wonderful views of the castle. We sat in the section off to the right as you walk in, in the very back of the restaurant. It's much more quiet and calm in that area and you get just as much character interaction without all the commotion. We too lucked out, but I would imagine if you asked to sit in the back sections that look towards the MK they'd try to accomodate you. I'll take a look at our video's and see if I have something I can post. I know I have stills of it, I'm looking at them right now!

There are MK views, although limited, at Chef Mickey's. My family and I were seated next to the window a couple of months ago and the view was great. We were in a room off to the right which is away from the food so there wasn't alot of traffic.

We were there in December and they had up some kind of board with characters blocking the window views. This was not up last January. So, we could not see outside. I don't know if this was temporary or what. They were not decorated for Christmas so I did not feel the display against the windows was for that.

Thanks Peachgirl............I can't believe that I missed the view over the past 5 years. My kids will not be happy. Live and learn, I guess I will have to plan another trip NOW
