After reading many posts from several different threads about the best place to view Wishes, I have decided to view it from Main St. in order to see all the effects and to have the castle centered in my view. My question is, does anyone have any further advice or 'secrets' about where exactly from Main St. to watch it? For instance, is there maybe a spot with tables and chairs we can snag before Wishes begins so we can have a nice seat during the show? Perhaps there an overlooked area along Main St. that may have lesser crowds? Any tips you might have are welcomed! My most preferred spot would be somewhere that has a table (or some kind of platform) that I can set my mini-tripod to take photos of the fireworks.

thanks,

we enjoyed the view from Casey's corner area (main st) and there are tables there, but not sure what the view is like sitting at them as they are off to the side a bit....everyone is standing in the street and on the bridge to watch so if you are sitting down they might obstruct the castle view

The secret is to be able to breathe through your nose because you are going to have to suck in your stomach while watching wishes on main street with all the others! LOL ::MickeyMo

Boy, that's for sure! We saw Wishes the Friday evening before Memorial Day from near Casey's. Actually, we wanted to get across the street to watch it from the ice cream parlor area. But it was pure gridlock-wall to wall people and we couldn't move! Wherever you hope to see it from, be in that area AT LEAST 1/2 hour beforehand.

Even if you do stake out a spot with a platform, it will be so crowded you may not be able to steady your tripod anywhere.

We sat along the sidewalk on Main Street next to a trashcan, which my husband decided to use as a platform for his camera. By the time the show started, everyone was standing up, shoulder to shoulder, leaning on the trashcan or setting drinks on it.

I also noticed people were also standing around the tables on Main Street. So the families sitting at the tables had to shuffle around or stand up to see the fireworks. It gets VERY crowded. My husband mentioned how he was glad he didn't bring his tripod because there would have been nowhere to put it even if we had gotten a table!!

Good luck!

You might try the upper level of the train station. You'll have to stake out your spot early to get a table, chairs and a railing view. If you have a large party with you, you can rotate who stays with the table while others visit the MS shops, etc. I think it would be a great spot for your tripod.
