Please share your experience and tips for viewing fireworks from the Poly.

What time should we have reservations, in order to have enough time to go and watch the fireworks? We will be at O'Hanas on 12/15.

Personally, I wouldn't count on viewing them from the restaurant, there's no guarantee you'd be seated with a good view. Instead, I'd make the reservation for two hours before whenever Wishes starts, eat, and watch them from the beach.

I agree with this poster. The odds of getting a good view are slim and none. If you luck out and can get a window table that faces MK it is a nice view (the pipe in the Wishes soundtrack and dim the lights). My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to score a window table on our last visit durring Wishes and loved watching from that prospective. However, we probably wont be going back there due to the decreasing quality of food and service, but that is another story for another thread.

Oh I am sorry, I completely left that out.

What I meant to ask. What time should we do our reservations to give us enough time to eat, and then go to the beach to view the fireworks?

Also, will it be crowded at the beach during the fireworks? We have never watched them from the beach.

Thanks, :thumbsup2 sorry for the confusion.

I would have dinner at 'Ohana and then watch the fireworks from the beach. You'll get a much better view of the show from there.

The last time we went, I had booked a table 1 1/2 hour before the fireworks. When we checked in, I told them we would wait longer for an empty table by the window if they didn't mind. We were seated at a prime seat and enjoyed a lovely view of the fireworks. It was perfect timing, to where if we couldn't get a seat by the window, we had the option to go to the beach after dinner instead. Good luck!!
