hi everyone,
Considering a verandah room on our next cruise. The rooms on deck 6 are a bit cheaper...what's the view like? Do the lifeboats make it difficult to see? Looking at the fantasy.

Thanks!

Our first DCL cruise was a verandah on deck 6 of the Fantasy. You didn't see the life boats unless you stood at the railing and looked straight down. When you're sitting in the chairs or looking out at the ocean you don't even know they're there. We've also been on deck 8 of Wonder and 10 of Fantasy and it really wasn't that different when sitting on their verandah view-wise. I do prefer deck 10 vs. 6 but that is because it's closer to the top so you can go up a quick flight of steps vs. many. At least on the Fantasy getting elevators, especially midship is a PITA! We tend to go up more than down so I prefer start from a higher point.

Our first Disney cruise on the Fantasy we were on Deck 6 and the view was wonderful. We were midship in 6528 and enjoyed it so much that we booked that same cabin for the second cruise too. Since then we have stayed on Decks 9 and 10 forward and midship (all verandah) and starboard and have been really pleased with all decks. The lifeboats are not a problem in terms of view as when on the verandah you tend to look out over the water from the chairs on the balcony. We actually notice the verandahs on Deck 5 (which jut out a bit) more than the lifeboats. :)

No problem with the view unless you want to look straight down at the water along the hull. The view outward is excellent.

We were on deck 6 of the Dream and didn't notice the boats in the least. Our verandah view was fantastic (room 6030)
