View from Contemporary 4th Floor Observation Deck/ Other non park viewing places?

How is the view of Wishes from the 4th Floor observation deck? Where are some other good options for non park viewing of MK fireworks?

The view from the 4th floor observation deck is amazing. Besides that there is the beach at the Polynesian and the marina by Gasparilla's Grill & Games at the Grand Floridian.

Do they pipe in the music at any of these places?

The music is piped into the Contemporary observation deck and the beach at the Polynesian.

I don't remember hearing it at the location I mentioned at the Grand Floridian, although maybe that has changed.

The Beach at the Polynesian Resort offers a great view
of Wishes and other MK Fireworks shows.
They do "pipe in" the audio of the shows.
There are several ground-level speakers along the
sidewalk.

They also pipe the audio to the speakers at the Poly
pool.

That said, the volume level is so LOW that its nearly
inaudible.
It's been that way for years, and I don't know why.

More Viewing Spots-

You can see them from TTC (they pipe-in the audio from
the show) but you are not allowed to stand in the
Ferry loading area.

You can see them from the boat-dock and an outside
observation deck near Narcoossee's restaurant at the
Grand Floridian. Also from the Patio next to overlooking the Marina.

At the Contemporary, there is viewing on an outdoor
observation area on the 4th floor.

As for viewing from INSIDE the dining area of restaurants
(you usually need ADRs for most, and they are usually busy during the shows)...
you can see (and hear) them at California Grill at Contemporary,
'Ohana at Poly,
and Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian.

Can anyone go to the 4th floor of CR to watch wishes or do you need to be staying at the hotel? We are staying at Pop.

OP here. The reason I asked is that my son wants to go to the California Grill so he can watch the fireworks from the Contempory. He asks for very few things and this seemed important to him. We were able to get reservations, but they are pretty late - 9:30. We'd be eating after the Wishes show at 9:30.

I'm wondering how the 15th floor compares to the 4th floor?

Also, how early would you need to get to the 4th floor.

My kids are 6, 8 and 10.

As always, you want to arrive early for everything at WDW.

Arrive, at the least, 30 minutes before the show.

IMHO: The 15th floor view is unobstructed and it is very cool to be out on the observation deck. It's amazing and hard to match. If you are able to be up there for it, it is superior to 4th floor. Having said that, if it doesn't work out, the 4th floor fireworks view is pretty darned good.

As Robo said, 30 minutes early makes good sense. You may want to keep calling to try to move the time up. Maybe something will become available earlier.

I also agree with arriving 30 minutes early so you can be able to watch Wishes from there and I am sure you won't be the 1st set of guests who have done that when you had ADR's right when they are suppost to start.
