VideoNow Color on sale @ KMart

The KMart sales ad in yesterday's paper showed that KMart is going to have the VideoNow Color on sale (in our area anyway) Sunday ONLY for $42.88 with a limit of 2. I wasn't going to get the kids one but might tell Santa, he always brings the things that I say "no" to. Just thought I'd pass this along if anyone is interested. I'm going to call KMart today & see if they offer rainchecks for this. Anytime I go there to buy something that's on sale, they never have it.

Also, Saturday only they are going to have a Singing Simba for $9.97, says save $10.

Supposedly, it's "the thing" that all of the kids at DS7 school are asking for this year. It's similar in size to a gameboy but a little bigger & you buy little videos (disk or cartridge, I'm not real sure) to play in them. They play alot of shows from Nickelodeon also Jeff Corwin, Tony Hawk & others. They're usually $75 or so.

Wow thats a great discount! I would call and see how many they have in stock. Then I would go the night before(if close by) and find out WHERE they are. Then get there at opening at get it. Just like the Fri after Thanksgiving! Have fun! K-mart is very guilty of having a sale, and only having a couple in stock at least in my area!

If the Kmart ad is goung to be in print, save the ad. Alot of stores will meet or beat the ad. Walmart, Toys R Us, Best Buy, etc. will all do this. Oddly, Target used to do this, but stopped a couple of years ago.

FYI - Sam's Club has a Video Now bundle which include the machine, 3 CD's and a case for ~$80.

I was going to get my son one last year for christmas but got him a gameboy sp instead. they also have most of the videos that video now has but they play games also which vn doesnt do. the thing that sold me was not having to buy more batteries as the sp is wall or car chargable. doesn't coolaid still have thier add for the video noe for 29 or 39 when you send in points and you can also buy the videos with point. they did have one not sure if they stil do.

Wal-mart *should* match it- unless it is determined that it was very limited item thing ie a local furniture store has ads for the new release disney movies (ie Mulan) for 10 dollars but they only get in 10 per store (on purpose)- Those our store doesnt match as its more a come in to our store gimmick rather than a real sale-

The toy associates should know about it though and the same limits ie 2 are usually put into effect

Off topic a bit, but one thing really amazed me a few years ago about Walmart's price matching policy. I usually bought baby formula at the one near my work. I happened into the Walmart closer to my home one day and found their price much higher, so ask if they would match the price of their store about 8 - 10 miles away. They said they did not match their own prices, just everyone elses, and wouldn't give me the lower price. I don't think I've been into that particular store since, and the "baby" is almost six now.

hi I am from Gibsonville NC and I saw that ad in the paper also just wandering if Kmart in our area will really have them , they have a habit of not having what is in the paper also if they give you a rain check they do not always honor it ... Just this summer they would not honor a rain check that they wrote so be careful with that ....

I may check into the Sams package it sounds like a great deal
just last weekend I went to the mall and the toy store there had them with the cases for $69.00 on sell

Both of my kids have the color VideoNow and it is really great for those times that you need a portable entertainment device. They are the size of a CD player and play TV shows like Jimmy Neutron, the Amanda Show etc.. You buy these little CDs made only for this product. They run on batteries but do have an a/c adaptor for separate pruchase. I'm not thrilled with the quality of shows as they are often the ones with some fresh talk but of course the kids will be delighted! I am glad we bought these. Threehearts

Jasminesmommy, I don't know why they won't but at the bottom of the flyer in the tinies print it says "Prices effective only on day shown. Quantities limited. Sorry, no rain checks." I checked our KMart yesterday & they had a few, 12 maybe, I'm sure I won't wake up early enough to get two, but I'll give it a try.

Jasminesmommy, I looked at my flyer that we received. There were 4 days & each day they were offering something different. I checked the KMart website but couldn't find anything.

We got two. We got there at 8:00 and there were 5 people waiting to get them, they only had 10 and they were gone in minutes! Tried to get Walmart to price match (my sister wanted to get one as well) and they wouldn't do it since it was a one day only sale.

I went yesterday & sales clerks said that people were probably hiding them. They told me if I bought them on Sat. I could bring them back today w/ the receipt & get a price adjustment. I also want different colors so I'll have to keep checking back.
