Do you have to use Disney's videography as an add-on to your package? We are having an intimate wedding, and the videography cost seemed hefty to me.

Can you hire your own instead of Disney's?

Does anyone have any recommendations for reasonably priced good videographers?

Thanks!!! Getting married 12/27!

I'm having a custom wedding, but I'm pretty sure for an intimate you can bring in your own videographer without any problems. I am going with Stan from STVS Video and he offers packages directly for intimate brides. http://www.stvsvideo.com/ I know there are a couple of other outside vendors that people have used, but I don't remember the names off hand. I have Stan's price sheets if you want them I can PM the info to you.

We're using Star Fruit Productions. They have a neat documentary style, and they are very flexible with their packages. I have to say, I wasn't even interested in having videography til I found them, and now it's one of the things I'm most excited about!

The 4-hour Green package is $799, but I'm sure they could tailor one to your budget.

Here's a link to their prices and demo:

No, you don't have to use Disney and you are right, the prices are very high. I have also only heard negative reviews of their videos (but good things about their photography!)

Ahhhhh! I didn't look at them until just now and now I'm soooo jealous! They have some great ala carte options. Only last night did DF start talking about recording the ceremony. Grrrrrrr.... Well, You found 'em lurkyloo, so congrats... This is the only time I'll ever wish we didn't have the same wedding day, lololol :headache:

i'm using him as well, he might have another camera crew that he could send? i'd call sage, he's super nice!

We were married in March, and used Kennedy Video Productions
( www.kennedyvideoproductions.com ) Don't quote me, but I think that they're around $2000 - that included our EPCOT Dessert Party the night before, and the entire wedding day...when we booked it also included 6 DVDs - and additional copies were only $12. I LOVE MY WEDDING VIDEO! It is 3 hours long, and not only covers the events of the day, but puts us right back in the feeling of the day...I cannot say enough about the quality, the attention to detail, the personal feeling of it. I was able to choose music that was important to me, and the times when Kathleen chose the music, she could not have done a better job! I simply cannot say enough...go to the website, check out the samples, and order a sample DVD of their work. You will NOT be disappointed.

I think Caryn is right - call them anyway! I'm having 2 cameras at the ceremony but only 1 at the reception. We're leaving the ceremony site around 10 am - maybe the second cameraperson could then go over and start shooting your getting-ready video! (Plus, I will have paid their travel fee for ya ;) )

You should call! :thumbsup2

i useed a moment to rememember.
i just got my video and i love mine. it is so well done and has all the special moments that i wanted to remember and some i did not get to see.
they are very resonable in price and so prompt and prefessional. the camera man, i didnt even know he was there . it was great i didnt have him all in our face and all. and joe the owner is so sweet i cant say enought good things.

We went with the Disney Videographers and I HATE my video!! The lighting is off, the sound is terrible, the whole video is under an hour....it's horrible!!
Thank Goodness for the Disney photographers though! They were excellent!

A second vote for STVS video. Stan is amazing, well priced, and did I say amazing. Our wedding video is gorgeous, my grandparents showed it to everyone the know. It is he and his wife, so you have 2 cameras. He is very professional but laid back and will do anything you want and need!

Hmm... your question got me thinking.
Did any of you use a videographer for small weddings too?
I'm wondering if it's worth the extra $ if we only have 20~30 people wedding, dinner (definitely no big reception) and a DP.

We'll probably only have 35 guests and we are definitely having a videographer. It can be pricey depending who/what you want, but we’re looking at it as a one time shot. We’d rather pay to have it done than come home from the wedding and wish we would’ve done it, because you obviously can’t go back and redo it if you change your mind. Plus we'll probably show it at our at-home reception for the other 100+ people that aren’t coming to Florida so they don’t feel like they totally missed out.

We're only having 35 people and we're only videoing the ceremony and reception, not the DP. I would do it if we only had 5 people - it's the moment I want to capture!

We're also showing our video at our at-home reception. We are doing a little bit of a laid back relaxed party, so we're using a red carpet theme as a "movie premier" for our wedding. We also got engaged at a theater, so the red carpet theme comes from that too.

Sounds like fun! That'll be so fitting for you guys! :goodvibes
