videographer help please

Hello everyone

Can anyone please give me some advice on which videographer to use as i really cant decide. Who did u use??

Also were having a break for a couple of hrs between our reception & illuminations party, anyone else done this? What did u do about the videographer did he leave & come back or does he just wait around???

Hi Nicci

I was a fellow UK Disney Bride last December. Most disney brides opt for Stan of STFV as he is fantastic but we left it too late and he was booked up when we wanted a videographer.

We went with a company called Creative Weddings. The main guy (Kevin) is great, didn't even realise he was there most of the time and he captured so many things that we hadn't even thought of. We received our wedding DVD a few weeks ago and its perfect, so nice to have something to remember the day with.

We used STVS and were very, very happy with them. We love our video, and the price was reasonable compared to some other vendors we looked at (Video Magic and A Magic Moment). Stan is great!

I don't know the name of the videographer we had, but she was awful. Not to put Disney down or anything, but my wedding planner was extremely unhelpful... I didn't even know I could have chosen my videographer. Just make sure that you don't end up with the young girl who looks like she is borrowing her parent's camera, lol.

All of her shots were so horrible that the people editing it also did a terrible job. At the request of everyone who has seen my wedding video, I now have to go through the hours of tape myself and then tell Disney how I want it edited. (i've been working little by little on it since last May)

We had a pre-reception after the ceremony and before the reception. (I'm not sure if this is what you mean?) The videographer was asked to film anything that people wanted to say to us on our video. She did collect a few, so I know she was there at least part of the time.

we are using stan of stvs videography http://www.stvsweddings.com/ for our march wedding. he has been great on the phone & highly recommended on the dis, he has some beautiful clips of other disney wedding on his site. we like his style, prices & extras.

We went with Creative Wedding Video. Mostly because you can order just the raw footage and have the option later of purchasing an edited version. We liked that in the fact we didn't want to have bad footage and be stuck paying for a big edited piece.
We had every intention of getting it edited, but the raw footage is so true to how the day was. I'm in the communications field and loved his journalistic approach. Kevin was wonderful and made sure to be an "observer" and not set up what he wanted to see. Definitely recommended.

We used Stan from STVS video. I have to say he and his wife were very friendly and easy to work with. Stan even came back after our wedding to tape the fireworks on the boats we rented in the evening. The finished video was priceless. Job well done and well worth every penny!

We kinda have him I guess all day long? We have him coming for our morning Ceremony and then our lunch reception. He then will be back later that day for our Illuminations dessert reception.
