video tips- favorite clips

We always bring our video camera with on vacation and then forget to use it. Or tape 5 minutes. This is our first time to Disney, and we're bringing the video camera. I need to remind myself to use it- what are some good times to film? On a ride? Walking around? Maybe I shouldn't bring it? It's really tiny, but still if it's not worth it then I can leave it in hotel? I don't know what to do.

Also if you have some fun youtube clips from Disney World please post the link, maybe it will inspire me!

There are so many great videos. My favorites are the series. I visit vicariously through the bids.

On our last trip, we shot two hours of video in ten days. I wish that we had shot significantly more.

The parts we enjoy watching the most are (in no particular order):

Scenes of the kids, or of mom and dad, simply being at Disney, doing Disney stuff - trying on hats, pin trading, eating aMickey bar, etc.

On day one we did some shots of attraction signs as we came across them, along with the family in the shots. We quit tdoing that for some reason,w hcih is too bad - it was neat to have a bit of a walkthrough.

I did a complete ride video of Expedition: Everest... we love watching this one.

The fireworks and parade videos are fun to watch.


Not as fun? We taped large portions of a couple of the shows. Honestly, you need the entire show to really enjoy these. I guess it's neat to have them, but we don't watch them as much.

Also thanks to the above poster- this is exactly what I was looking for. I have a question- when you say "all things Disney"- this is not the first time I saw someone mention trying on hats. Sorry for being ignorant- what does this mean? Is there a hat place somewhere? heehee, I'm imagining all sorts of things.

Great idea to not tape the shows. My husband would do something like that (love you babe, but you would) and then we wouldn't have any of the kids... not so fun to watch after!
