My DH and I have about 10 tapes of video we took from our last trip. My only problem is now what do I do with them?? Does anyone have an inexpensive software they can suggest for making movies?? I'd love to try and do something with all this video. Right now all the tapes are just sitting on my desk making me more frustrated by the day.

There are lots of choices out there.. If you want to start inexpensive, you can start with the free Windows Movie maker.... and move up once you need more power.

Now I'm getting ahead of myself, can you add music with the free software??

I don't know about the other free ones, but you can add your own music in Windows Movie Maker 2.

Yes, windows movie maker will let you capture video, add music, add titles, transitions, etc. (The hardware needed to capture video is a whole 'nother discussion based on your type of camera, pc, etc)..
