Hello, I'm looking to put together video clips taken from my camera into a vacation video. What do you guys recommend? Looking for the least expensive option.
Thanks.

iMovie on the Mac and Windows Movie Maker on the PC are pretty good options for very basic editing. And they're already on most people's computers. Adobe Premiere Elements is great of you want a little more editing power.

I'd recommend Pinnacle Studio. It's a pretty powerful piece of software for the price, and not too difficult to learn.

If you have old videos on VHS or a camcorder you'd like to convert, they also sell a version that comes with a devise to connect your VCR or non-digital camera to your computer. (If you're just using digital equipment, all you need is the software.)

Putting together a few clips into a video - Windows Live Movie Maker. Easy to use and free. Even if you end up using a better video editing program later, Movie Maker is the place to start for a beginner.

I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio.
