That's why I would never surprise my kids. We made the decisions on where to go, not the kids. Did I mention I hate surprises?????

So sad! And yet funny...I broke my own rule, though, and read the comments, and I was just appalled. Calling little kids spoiled brats over this? Really? Anyone who's spent time around little ones knows that some deal well with changes in plans, and others just don't - even if the change in plans sounds *awesome* to all the rest of us. I hope they have a great time anyway.

We're headed back to AKL next year, with PCC 3.0 first. The girls know we're going to AKL, but not exactly which date, and they don't know about the cruise. I think they'll be cool with the surprise, though, given how enamored they are of the ship models in the resorts! And that we are actually still going to AKL after the cruise...

Oh bless their hearts! A lot of children can't deal with change like that. We might see it as exciting, but children's brains can't rationalise that one is better than the other when they have their expectations so set on one.

I hope they had a good time at Disneyworld!

One of my children didn't do well with 'change of plans', so I really understand the kids reaction. They will have fun, it's just hard for some little ones (and some old ones) to deal with change.

We live in Nashville so we drive right through Chattanooga and never look back (2 hours) until we get to Walt Disney World 10.5 hours later.
