VIDEO--Inside Starbucks on Main Street

With all the "hysteria" on the boards about not being able to get their Cinnamon Bun "fix" - the photo is actually ON THE MENU. This is currently just soft openings so we actually don't know for sure if they'll have them or not. :confused3

Thank you for this. I can understand being disappointed with some of the changes. I can not understand freaking out over the menu when the entire menu hasn't even been released. At very least people could wait to see what they are upset over before they are upset.

To me, the fact that it's on the menu, speaks volumes.

I've come to the conclusion that most of the folks here will never be satisfied with anything Disney does at the parks. Change is a good thing. This is a major improvement to the quality of the product and the overall Guest experience at MSB. It looks like a turn of the century bakery. Not a 21st century coffee house.

EDITED to comply to dis regulations:

I know how dare they be upset, that some thing they liked is changed. Starbucks is great. so happy

In all honestly, I would have been quite happy if they had gotten rid of the Bakery entirely. It wasn't particularly that good. It was busy and you could never get a table, the food and drinks were terrible. Starbucks is a HUGE improvement, at least as far as we are concerned. We would usually bypass this except for maybe one through our trip. We will be visiting everyday we are at MK (and EPCOT once it opens)

I don't mind change what I mind is "snow" jobs.

1) it serves starbucks coffee
2) it serves starbucks pasteries. according to every blog
3) CM's have been trained to fix drinks and food according to starbucks.
4) cups, napkins etc all bear the starbucks logo.
5) counter with condiments exactly as in every starbucks in the coffee.

So please tell me exactly what it is?

If it walks like a duck, quack like a duck and flies like a duck. Here's a news flash, it's a duck.

IT IS NOT MAIN STREET BAKERY. It's a starbucks on main street. At least stop the snow job, trying to sell it like some thing else. At least when Mcdonald's came in they didn't try and see "oh no we're still Peco's bill"

I guess for me it was "special". the one thing I enjoy about disney is it's uniqueness. I always got a table so I can't comment on that. We enjoyed ending our day with a huge chocolate chip cookie or some other dessert.

Now it's a starbucks. big whoo. I have a starbucks in the middle of my target.
I'm not a coffee drinker so no big lure there so I'm the opposite, no way am I going to disney to eat the same pastries I get at my local target.

No way when I've got the pastry place in France would I waste my money on the same starbucks (they reportedly even mark the cups the same way) I get on rt 141 every day in Wilmington De.

But then again, I don't eat at mcdonalds when I'm on vacation.
So I doubt if we'll be back except to see what it looks like. I'm heading back end of September so I'll let you know.

Wait ... I'm confused. Is it a snow job or a duck? Or a bakery or a Starbucks? So many choices ....

OK ... it's a Starbucks on Main Street. I guess I just don't get what the HUGE OVERBLOWN kerfluffle is here. Isn't it right next to the Edy's on Main Street? Why is no one all up in arms because IT IS NOT THE ICE CREAM PARLOR.

It IS the Main Street Bakery. It says so -- on signage and guidemaps. Maybe it's a Starbucks operating as the Main Street Bakery, but come on! There are elements of Disney and elements of Starbucks in this space. It looks better and functions better and will improve the guest experience with a more efficient operation. I just don't see how Disney has so horribly and terribly deceived everyone. People are making it sound like some huge branding conspiracy or something. It's coffee, people. Just coffee.

No, not JUST coffee! It's Starbucks coffee! :goodvibes:goodvibes

My bad, wd. I forgot this is the Dis. One must never ever voice an opinion counter to the prescribed regulated dis approved message.

So, I dutifully revise my opinion and gone back to edit my post.

Ohhh so happy they are finally getting a Starbucks inside the Magic Kingdom. Can't wait for the new one in Epcot. It looks so pretty and "disneylike".

:lmao: I don't think that's necessary however people will also disagree with your view as well. It's a discussion board :)

I'm honestly, I LOVE Starbucks! I love their drinks and their food. I'm thrilled that they are finally at WDW, I also have no emotional attachment toward MSB.

The menu pic is the breakfast menu and no Disney food will be served for breakfast so that is not the old msb one...I never had one but for many who did it matters

Of course not; it was a difference in opinion.

It always kind of makes me laugh that people who complain about something are always so surprised and "offended" when they don't instantly have dozens of other people rallying to their cause. And then it always turns into "oh ... I guess I'll have to follow the company line ... let me be a lemming like all you other people" thing. If you're angry about it NOT BEING THE MAIN STREET BAKERY, talk about why, so that people can understand your anger and disappointment. (I notice you did explain that at roughly the same time I was posting, so thank you for that, as it adds a great deal of context to your emotion.)

But really ... the whole "Oh ... let me just go back and change my post ..." thing is kind of kindergarten, isn't it?

Other than seeing the name Starbucks, what isn't "disneylike"?

To save me from watching videos and reading dozens of posts/threads...does it have the MSB cinnamon roll or the starbucks cinnamon roll?

I will defiently check it out next time I am there....but I have conflicted feelings about liking it. :P

Today was the big day! Starbucks opened in the Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The world didn’t come to an end, Walt didn’t turn over in his grave and life goes on here in Florida.

Looking good; happy to hear the Kingdom is still standing! I had the same question as the poster at the end of that blog ; "How long did it take?". If they can get people in and out quickly when the crowds are heavy, I'm sure it will be a big success!

Currently it doesn't have the MSB Cinnamon Roll - however there are photos of the MSB Cinnamon Roll on the menu so no one knows if they will eventually have it :)
