Video Cameras

We have a JVC Digital MiniCamcorder. and it just stopped recording the picture. I will try one of those cleaning tapes like the service guy said, but if I have to get a new one, what have you all used? We have only had this 2 years and its started acting out. We have a newborn too and a trip to WDW planned within the summer. So any advice would be great.

We are also looking for a new video camera, there are so many choices out there! So I am interested in andy advice too!
