<vid> Best Jungle Cruise Skipper Ever ?

That was fun! He's really good. And you can tell there were a few first timers on the ride.

when we were at WDW in August, my 10 year old son got to drive the boat. Our skipper was really fun but not as much as the guy in this video.

I can't see the video until I get home, but I also had my best Jungle Cruise ride in Disneyland.

At night.

The skipper made a brilliant visual joke using perfect timing with the animatronic "natives" and the time it takes them to reset for the next boat. I think he couldn't have done this if it hadn't been a slow night. But it was brilliant.

I could put up my video of the Jungle Cruise ride from Tokyo Disneyland, but I didn't get any of the jokes. :confused3

I'd LUV to see it !

Post it ! Post it !! :cheer2:

(I *really* hope to get to Tokyo Disneyland one day. What I've seen of it looks *amazing*)

I remember reading a quote somewhere comparing it to California Adventure. It went something like, "Tokyo Disneyland is a park designed by Imagineers; CA is a park designed by accountants." ;)

My favorite jungle cruise skipper is Steven at WDW!! He was my skipper in November 2009 (during a tour) and again in September 2010!!! Lucky me! :thumbsup2

My favorite (former) Jungle Cruise skipper is John Lasseter ;)

^ And here's the original promotional release of the ride with Walt himself on board !

Note two things: 1) How nicely the passengers are dressed. (If I had to guess, this was cast in advance judging by a couple of things...)

and 2) How *gruesome* the lions and zebras scenes used to be !

Must have given a lot of kids, and some adults some nightmares...

...we had a Jungle Cruise skipper named Rhonda. Even if I had a video camera then, all you would have heard was riotous laughter from the whole boat.

A while later, Disney had some kind of dream job contest on-line; and don't you know Rhonda was the example of the Jungle Cruise skipper! No surprise to us. :thumbsup2
