My DH and I are staying off property at the end of February. We will be without our kids and I would love to surprise him with a dinner at V & A's. The problem is, he can't eat red meat without getting violently ill. Does anyone have any experience with advanced dining here with food allergies? If I call ahead will the chef be able to offer him a meal without red meat? Ie...chicken, pork, fish...etc? I know this is a very specialized meal, but I'm hoping that we can do it......fingers crossed.:)

Yes. They will call you about a week in advance to confirm and will ask about any allergies or other unable to eat.

Not only will they make adjustments, but his menu will not even show any red meat but will show substitutions built in.

Last time I went with some relatives, one of them could not eat any shellfish and one could not eat any seafood. So the one menu had no shellfish at all, and the second had no seafood at all. But all people got the same number of choices per course.
