My mom and dad are trying to find something new to do for their 25th Wedding Anniversary. They were thinking about trying Victoria and Alberts. Does anyone have any opinions on it? What kind of food do they serve? Any information will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

Well, it would be a great choice for an anniversary!! I love it...you must love fine dining, being waited on porfusely and be pretty adventurous about food. I guess you call the food...gormet!! It is an event...it takes over 2 hours to dine and the wine pairings are recommended if you like wine!! I do and I did and boy was it FUN!! I am headed there again for my anniversary in November.

Hi There - Saw your post regarding "something new" for your parent's anniversary. I think "engle" summed up the happenings at this restaurant very well, and I agree. Just wanted to let you get the opinion of another V & A satisfied customer. If your parent's don't like pampering as alot of folks don't, they should definitely skip this restaurant. We are local Disney (25 minutes), and get to this one about 3 times a year, definitely a :thumbsup2 in our book of exceptional Disney restaurants. By the way, give your parents our congrats. on their 25th anniversary, not something you hear of too often these days. We will be celebrating our 41st in August, and are planning another V & A dinner. Another "something different" you may want to look into that we enjoy, is the VIP cruise on the Grand1. It is a 45-foot yacht that offers private dining (from 1-13 people in your party), with butler service and a captain. We have taken this cruise many times with family and friends, it is costly, but well worth it. If you would like to look into this, the number is (407) 824-2682.

Have a great vacation!!!!

I've been to Victoria & Alberts three times - once as a "Christmas Dinner" with my family, once I brought my boyfriend for his birthday, and most recently we went there for Dinner immediately after getting engaged on the beach at the Polynesian. It's definately a place that is very special to me!

The food is amazing, the service is wonderful, without being intrusive. The wine pairings are a good way to experience how wine compliments various foods.

I love it because it's dining, the art of actually dining... It sounds nerdy, but I really feel that way. It has always been a wonderful way to experience something wonderful with someone I care about, and it give us a good length of time to talk and enjoy the ambiance and each other.

Mmmm. I want to go back.

Happy place.

Thanks everyone for your input. I think my parents would like it, especially my mom, she loves cruises and being pampered! I think I'll tell them to give it a shot!

Thanks again!

DH and I have been their twice, the last time for our 20th anniversary, and we love it. It's a very special place, and we've loved our meals and service there.
