We are honeymooning at WDW in Sept.. My Df is determined to go to Victoria and Alberts, however, I am a very picky eater. I looked at several sites that displayed their menus for that day and have not found one thing i"d even eat. Has anyone gone there and not liked anything on the menu? Can I just ask for a steak???? Confused because this place is very expensive!!

If your a picky eater then you will probably not enjoy it as much as someone who is open to anything. If your a steak and potato person (nothing wrong with that) you may want to try a different place.

I'm sure the chef will try to accommodate specail request, but I'm not sure how far they will go. I would give the place a quick call to see what they can do for you. This is a really nice place and I would think there would be at least one thing you would like. Good Luck!!!

I LOVE V&A but I can see how some people would not like it so much.

I would recommend you try somewhere else. As you say, it is very expensive and it is really only worth it if you are a 'foodie' - well that's what I think anyway :) .

There are 6 or 7 courses, which make for a whole evening's food entertainment experience - how is that for some babbling LOL. If you got a steak as an entree, not likely I feel, what would you do for all the other courses?

There are so many other restaurants at WDW I am sure you will find one where you can have your steak and your DF can indulge in some weird and fanciful food too.

I suggest the Chef's Table..it's not that much more $$ than the dining room....I am also an extremely picky eater (pretty much only like chicken, hardly ever eat beef, you get the picture) and we did the Chef's Table for our honeymoon last September. I have to say, I LOVED it!!! The real advantage to the Chef's Table is that you get 14 (I think) little courses so you are not limited to what is on the regular menu.....once you arrive, you have a champagne toast with the Chef and he asks if you have any food allergies or any dislikes...from there, he creates the menu for you.....what a meal!!! And out of all of the 14 courses I was served, none contained chicken....LOL and I loved everything. The nice thing about the Chef's Table too is that if your DF is a more adventerous eater, the Chef will make him different things.....I don't think DH and I had very many of the same courses.....he will try anything :) I can't say enough about the experience and I highly recommend it...even if you are a picky eater....HTH...congratulations and enjoy your honeymoon!!

This is the reason that we're not going to V&A when we visit in Dec. My husband is very picky and their menu is very limited. We have many upscale restaurants in our area and they normally accommodate his likes/dislikes, but my understanding that is that unless you're at the Chef's Table, you need to have an open mind (food-wise). He said that he wasn't interested... so we'll have many wonderful meals elsewhere...

But since it's your honeymoon, I would just call them and ask... You never know...

And to clarify - if you reserve the Chef's Table, they ask your preferences before they prepare your food. You're seated in a romantic enclave in the kitchen and your receive A LOT of personal attention from the Chef. That may be a good option for you.

If you, or your spouse, are a picky eater then V&A's is probably not the experience for you. Take a look at the menu's posted at allearsnet.com for a representative sample of what you'll have to chose from. I'd hate to pay all that money and not find anything I really would eat on the menu when I got there.
