After hearing many glowing reviews of Victoria and Albert's I believe my GF and I will be going in April. I have a few quick questions. Is it true that you can use your DDE card for 20% off? Is it good only for the "dining room" menu? What does the menu consist of? Is it similar to the "chef's tasting menu?" I have not been able to find it anywhere. Does anyone have any idea on prices? I know the chef's tasting is $95 but we can't use our DDE. any answers would be greatly appreciated. thanks
Jarrett

Yes, you can use your DDE card for the main dining room only, not the Chef's Table. If you go to allearsnet.com you can check out sample menus there.....the main dining room is actually $95 while the Chef's Table is $125.....wine pairings are $50....hope this helps!!

In the main dining room there are seven courses, and you can select one from each course. Some of the selections (caviar, abalone, foie gras and kobe beef) are extra cost. The cost is now $100 and, if you want the wine pairings, that is $50 extra. If you do not want the pairings there is a full bar and large selection of wines. Non-alcoholic drinks are included in the base price (including bottled water). The DDE card can be used for 20% discount.

The Chef's Table is ten courses and incldues samplings of just about everything, including the extra cost items. That is $125 and the wine pairings are $65 additional. The DDE cannot be used.

All prices are plus tax and tip. Here is a link to a recent Dining Room menu.

And at those prices the DDE is a great deal!! We saved the entire cost of the card (and then some) after just one V&A meal.

The OP have pretty much hit all your questions so we will just chime in by saying this will be a wonderful experience for you both, and well worth the money. V&A is amazing :goodvibes Have a wonderful trip!!

Cplofdisneynutz,

How did you get that wonderful picture of you both with Snow White and her little men????

thank you all so much for the detailed responses. I thought the prefixe menu was the "chefs selection" and the "dining room" was a la carte. That's why it was so hard for me to find the a la carte menu. I appreciate you all clearing that up for me. I think rather than getting the wine pairings i might just order a bottle of wine I know my GF and I will like. In your recent experiences did they have a large selection of reislings? Thanks so much..can't wait to make my adr and experience.

I am not into wines, but I understand that Isreal Perez, the maitre'd has a rank that is one step away from Master Sommelier. I know people who are wine enthusiasts who have taken the pairings and have said that the selections with each course were perfect accompaniments for each course; he works with the Chef to make the best combinations. If the price of the pairings in not much different than a bottle you are much better off with the pairing.

I have never eaten at Victoria and Albert's, but I have done wine pairings many times and I really recommend it (at least if they have a good cellar and a good sommelier).

Once you have eaten there, you should try the Kitchen Table at Emeril's Orlando. It is a great experience (if you are interested in more information, PM me).
