Victoria and Albert's desserts

Hi folks,
my husband and I have been to WDW many times, but this autumn we will be eating at V&A's for the first time.

I have read loads of trip reports on here and am really excited! I know the menu will be different, but I see the desserts seem to be fairly constant will small variations.

I wondered what desserts people have enjoyed the most or found a little underwhelming? Also, I have seen lots of pics of the Tanzanian pyramid dessert but I can't work out if it's a frozen mousse or something more like a panna cotta, or something else?

I am thinking of trying a souffle if one is offered as I have never tried one - but I don't like coffee - has anyone had a chocolate souffle at V&A's? Is it very coffee-ish or just yummy chocolate?

We went last December. I had the chocolate souffle and DW had the Grand Mariner souffle. I don't remember the chocolate one tasting strongly of coffee at all. I remember mostly chocolate. It was served with a small scoop of chocolate gelato. The Grand Mariner had an orange flavor and was served with a citrus gelato. Both were delicious!

Wish I could help you answer your question but the one constant at V & A's I have is the Tanzanie Chocolate Pyramid with a Champagne-Chambord Truffle. It is absolutely the best IMO. The chocolate consist is hard to describe, more like a mousse filling. It is not an overwhelming chocolate taste. I did try the Gran Marnier Souffle once and did not care for it. Last week, ate here and my dining partners had the Gran Marnier Souffle (did not care for it and did not finish it) and the other had the Vanilla Bean Cream Brulee (she raved about). I always eat here twice on my visit to WDW but the dessert will always be the same. Just too good to take a chance on anything else. You will certainly enjoy anything you decide upon.

I've had the chocolate souffle at V&A more than once. I don't like coffee and this was definitely more chocolate (and much better than the pyramid IMO).

I like Grand Marnier but didn't care for that one. The creme brûlée is good but not as "special" as a souffle.
