My DH really wants to try to get the Chef's table on our next trip. He has quite the adventurous palate and will try anything once. Me? Not so much. I wouldn't say I am picky as I do like a wide variety of things, but nothing too out there, and I don't eat fish or seafood of any kind. Normally, I don't mind going someplace I don't care for just to make him happy, but for that kind of money, I am concerned. Are there things available for the not so adventurous eaters?

TIA!

At V&A, especially if you have the CT reservation, you will be contacted in advance to see if you have any allergies or specific dislikes. They can adjust the menu to accomodate you.

The last time I was at CT two of the people in our group did not eat shellfish, so the Chef worked around that to still give them wonderful food, and their menus did not even have the shellfish on them.

Here is a link to one of the better reviews of CT, with pictures. It will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect. Note the foods are not spicy and really do not taste weird.

Thanks so much for the info!!

If you're concerned about it, you could always sit in the main dining room and have your DH order the Chef's Table menu there, while you could order the regular menu at a lesser price. That way, if the food is still too adventurous for you, you won't be out as much $$$, and your DH will still get the Chef's Table menu experience.

Cheers!

I haven't been yet. BUT I have ressies for Aug in the dining room. When I spoke to the CM I told her I don't eat any sea food and only eat beef/chicken. She stated that I will be contacted before the meal and she noted it on my ressie.

We were there in January and it is true that they will accomodate your tastes/allergies. My wife has a fruit intolerance (strange, but true). They did not have ANYTHING with fruit on her menu. Mine had several sauces that included fruit. They will call you about a week in advance to get your info. My wife said it was the best dining experience she has ever had. We are already planning another dinner when we return in Sept '07. One thing that I didn't count on - I was completely stuffed by the time the creme brulee and the coffee came. I wish I would have saved a little room - it was the best creme brulee I have ever had.

Enjoy your dinner!
