Fantastic review of V&A! I hope to get to try it someday!
I hope you get to experience it also. It took lot's of macaroni & cheese, frozen pizzas, grill cheese and other sandwiches and very little dining out for the last 1 1/2yrs for us to be able to afford it. But it was all worth it.Fantastic review of V&A! I hope to get to try it someday!
So much fun going to dinner with you! Thanks for sharing an amazing experience-
Can you give me some advice based on your experiences? My wife is a very shy person. We did the chef's table at Napa Rose last year and we both loved it, but she was very nervous about going. She also is ashamed of her behavior... there was a wine pairing that she didn't care for. He even warned that it had a unique nutty flavor; he matched it up to her meal and I was served something else so I don't know what it tasted like. She didn't say anything, but he could tell and brought her something else. She was so embarrassed that it happened... although it really was no big deal. That's how she can be. I'm trying to think of what I should say to put her at ease for a great night. I hear such good things about the experience that I think we'll both enjoy it.

Yes he can get his own pairing. I believe that 8 glasses are served through out the meal. 1 was a Sake. total cost was $95 pp for the pairing.
Thanks so much for the fantastic review. DW and I have ressies 11/29. It will be our 1st time at V&A. I think I read somewhere on the DISboards that a couple can split the wine pairings between them with half glasses. Do you know if that is true? I'm not sure we could handle a full glass with each course and still enjoy the food!![]()
Thank you so much for saying that. Sometimes reading these boards and reviews, it seems like everyone has so much money, that money is never a problem, like it is for us.
Thank you so much for letting me know we are not alone. WDW is so expensive, but often it seems like everyone else can afford anything they see or want.
We too do the grilled cheese, and scrimp and save, and work alot of overtime when it is available to afford a WDW trip.
Thanks again, for helping me to not feel so poor.![]()
How long did the dinner last from start to finish? We were thinking about booking QV, but decided to go with the regular room since we didn't want a very long dinner. But your review is fantastic and is making me second guess the choice.

We have ressies 11/30.
I'd like to know about the wine pairings too... and if its odd/tacky. How much wine is there? We did the chef's counter at Napa Rose and my wife was so drunk she went back to the room before I finished with the check. That's the only experience I have to compare this meal to.
I know how you feel I felt the same way. I wonder how many ppl really can't afford it and just charge all of this stuff on their credit cards? I personally hate paying any interest it really does increase the overall cost.

It always amazes me how so many people live beyond their means. I know so many people who do this. They max out their credit cards on a regular basis. The live paycheck to paycheck even if they don't have to. An example my brother in law spent so much on designer clothes for his daughters so he could be the good parent and "toys" for himeself that he could barley make the houshold expenses. We also know quite a few people who still do not save for their retirement at all. They prefer to live now and let the future take care of itself. Now DH has a very good job but we are still careful with what we spend and appreciate what we have.
