My husband and I have been to Victoria and Albert's on several occasions and have also been fortunate enough to enjoy the Chef's Table. The quality of food and service has been wonderful enough to justify the $125 pp for a regular table. We planned to dine at a regular table on our upcoming trip and made our reservations. I checked the menu today and noticed that the fixed price for a regular table sky rocketed (as of 2/2010) from $125 to $200 per person, a 60% increase since last week! I plan to cancel tomorrow. Even Victoria and Albert's is not worth ~$500 for dinner for two. This is not even the Chef's Table.

Has anyone else noticed this????

Yes, I saw the updated price on the All Ears site. Granted, I have never eaten at V&A, but I don't think I could justify a $500 dinner either. We could go to the River Cafe here in NY, a very fancy place with exceptionally high quality food and service, and it costs about half that for a 6-course tasting menu! We were considering V&A for our 2012 trip, since that will be the first time we can put the boys in the kids' camp and go out alone one evening (my little one will only be 3 on this year's trip). Now we will choose a different place, one of the signatures, one of the Swan & Dolphin's nicer restaurants, or maybe Fulton's.

That's what I thought also, but the All Ears Menu Site has listed that as of2/2010 the REGULAR fixed price (they bolded and capitalized "regular") is now $200 pp.

I am hoping it is an error on their part. I checked out the Victoria and Albert's website and saw it still listed as $125.

I sent a note to Deb asking her to take a look at how that Feb 2010 update was phrased. I agree with Tricia that the $200 is for the new Queen Victoria Room, not the main dining room.

I would suggest you check with Disney Dining. They should be able to clarify.

Thank you. I planned to call Victoria and Albert's today to clarify as Disney Dining usually refers all Victoria and Albert's questions to the restaurant itself. Yesterday, I was too late to call as the V & A phone line for general reservations was closed for the night.

Thanks so much, $125 for a regular table is fair as are the special prices for the Chef'sTable (and I assume Queen Victoria's table, although I haven't tried it yet) as you are receiving an even more special dining experience.

V&A has its own phone line. WDW-DINE is probably not the place to ask specific questions about V&A. Personally I don't think they always give good information about any restaurant, so I use them only to make reservations and for nothing else. (Some of the WDW-DINE agents are in call centers nowhere near Florida. They can find out only what Disney allows them to find out via their computers.)

It's the Queen Victoria Room (and the Chefs Table) that costs $200 pp, not the main dining room.

It appears that Deb has taken the updated V&A menu down for the time being. I am guessing it was just a simple misunderstanding as the Queen Victoria Room is so new.

I am dining at V&A in just over 2 weeks and I called to book a regular table for my parent anniversary in Sept. During that call, last week, I was told that the regular dining room price was still $125 with $60 wine pairings.
