I tried to book the Chef's table while I am there in early January and it is taken every night! There was availability for a regular table one of the nights, but I just don't feel like shifting around all of my other ADRs (we are going with a big group and only 4 would be eating at V&A). I'm kind of shocked! Last time I ate there was a little over 2 years ago, but the restaurant was almost entirely empty. I think it was just us and one other table. I don't get it! It is absolutely fabulous food, but I am still surprised.

Is this perhaps the first week of Jan? If so I would expect the restaurant to be full. If not, it does not surprise me that the chef's table is booked, that is a hot ticket, but it does surprise me that the regular dining room is full save one night.

Keep calling. It took me a couple weeks of calling to get the reservation I wanted, but I got it.

Sleeping Becca,

Why do you expect the restaurant to be full the first week of Jan?? I am getting nervous now as I am one of the Oct. 27th ADR people trying to get V&A for a Friday night in Feb. for my sister's bday trip. We really only have that one night so....and that was her one special request!!!

To be fair, the Chef's Table is the hardest reservation to get in Disney. I've gotten it once and thats it. (and have IPO, my husband and myself trying on 10/27 to try for our Feb trip to get the Chef's Table)

V&A does get bought out for weddings or corporate parties on occasion though. If its still 'holiday' season, that could be why.

To the person trying for it for a friday night in Feb, I doubt you'll have any issues if you call the first day or even the first week reservations are open. If was there a couple weekends ago, and even then there were a few empty tables.

You should have no problem getting a reservation for Feb. in the regular dining room. The chef's table is hard to get no matter what time of year. I have tried for years to get the chef's table with no luck, concierge couldn't land it for me either. I will admit I was trying to get it for specific dates, we always do Hoop Dee Doo and CRT so those took priority for us, by the time we got to the V&A reservation line, chef's table was always gone and never opened up.

The reason that I mentioned the first week in Jan, is because that is typically a very busy week at WDW in general.

As another poster mentioned if at first you don't succeed try try and try again. Reservations open up all the time!
