Our ceremony is set for 2:30. It will just be my fiance and myself. We'd like to do dinner at Victoria & Alberts following picture taking (we have Randy... yay).

However, we are also going to try to book a Wishes cruise. If Wishes starts at 10, we'd have to meet our boat at 9:15.

My question is basically "Is this timeline possible".

I have Randy for 3 hours (which I am assuming is 2 - 5 or so) I figure we can take the limo back to the Wilderness Resort for a quick "freshen up" (read: pee break). Then from the Resort to V&A by 6:00. Would we conceivably be able to make it to our pontoon boat by 9? We wouldn't have to change if we were cutting it close. I may as well get some use out of my dress, lol.

Thanks in advance for advice!!!

Hi :wave2:

We have a similar day arranged!

There are set meal times at victoria and Alberts as we have been
given 5.30pm

Our wedding is at 2.30pm - 3.30pm at the wedding pavilion

then our toast etc.. at commanders terrace 3.30pm - 4.00pm

we have a gap for photos etc... then
we have booked the fireplace room at victoria and Albert's for 5.30pm and it takes about 2 and half hours to dine

our wishes cruise is at 9pm so we've got to go straight to the marina at 8pm to board the boats!

I hope this helps with your planning timeline!! pixiedust:

I am willing to bet that your boat captian will sit a while and wait for you, especially if he/she is aware that you will be arriving from your most awesome dinner.

I too am dining at V & A on the day of my wedding and we considered doing the cruise after our meal. However after much delibiration, we decided it was too much of a rush for us. Our meal is at 6.45 and I have been advised that you should allow approx 2 and a half to 3 hours for dining at V & A. If your meal is at 6pm then you would be cutting it extremely fine in my opinion. I would suggest trying to make your reservation earlier if possible.
The last thing you want to be doing is be clock watching and rushing a meal that is supposed to be luxurious, plus you're spending so much money on this meal, you want to savour it:love:
Also I have been told by several people that the Wishes boat will not wait. Kinda like your priority seating reservations 'you are supposed to arrive in ample time'
I really, really think you will be cutting it fine. I posed this question on the restaurant board and was told the same.
Even if you managed to make your reservation at 05.30pm, 30 min would make all the difference!
Also are you extending your limo hire to get you to V & A? Remember you have limo hire for 4 hours included, but if your transport begins at 1.30pm from WL (DF getting picked up) 1.45pm for yourself as you are supposed to be at your ceremony point 30 min prior to the ceremony. Then your hire stops at 5.30pm or sooner as I'm not sure if they count travel time to WL prior to your pickup. We are having this problem at the moment ourselves and are having to get a cab to V & A. Sorry to maybe add another problem but I just wanted to bring it up, just in case.

I had planned on extending the limo transport to cover travel to and from V&A. I'm not sure how much it is going to run us for an additional 3 - 4 hours, but I am assuming it'll be at least $120 or so.

I am going to try to see if I can alter our seating time to 5:30. That way, if we finish up picture taking w/ Randy at 5:00 at the GF, we will be there already. If that is the case, instead of hiring the limo for an additional 4 hours, perhaps we can just get it for an additional 1 hour (to pick us up from V&A and take us back to WL... which I know will take minutes, but I'm sure they will require at least a 1 hour min)

I will see what my WC has to say.

I requested this already and Tanis told me that it had to be 4 consecutive hours. Each additional hour costs $85.00 plus tax.

Hmmm, good question. I have heard that you can get the reception to call a black cab, which wouldn't cost that much at all. This is what I intend to do, I really wanted to use the limo, and it looks like I am only going to get to use it for 2 hours:confused: We are getting picked up at 09.15 and it will drop us off at The GF for pics around 11.15am, then that's it our limo will go as we are having lunch at Citricos at 12.15 and we won't be out in time to use the rest of our limo hire. So I actually only get it for 2 hours:sad2:
I asked Tanis if I could use the extra 2 to take us to V & A, but she said it had to be consecutive hours:confused:

Your evening sounds wonderful! I've eaten at V&A's three times (and we hope to have our reception there too!), and each time it's taken a good three hours. This is not a meal you want to rush.

If you have the captain meet you at the Grand Floridian, you could make it for 9:15 or so...

That's a wonderful idea.

I tried to book an earlier dinner, but 6:00 is the earliest time they had available. I feel pretty lucky that I managed to score that, considering I only made it a few days ago... and we're 160 days away.

If he picks us up at the Grand Floridian, would he be able to drop us at Wilderness Lodge? I suppose worst case scenario, we just arrange for a taxi which is not a big deal.
