Rest of the cast stayed in the villa.
We got up early and enjoyed Eggo. We eat so much of the stuff when we are over there it takes about 6 months before we want it again. I'm glad you can't get it over here in the UK cos I'd become rounder
Jumped into the car, sky is a bit dark, weather is reporting thunderstorms but not in Orlando area yet. Because we have a tour booked at Busch Gardens the following week and we didn't do this theme park last year we decide to go and find it.
It's a relaxed journey in the car. Everyone is looking out the windows remembering last year. All in a good mood and we find the park easily - with no directions. It was a piece of cake!
It's still early so we make it into the carpark no problem. It looks good. It is starting to get colder so we all run into the KaTonga. Although DD3 wasn't keen when we explained what it was we all enjoyed it. We were sat at the edge of a row so didn't catch any butterflies or bubbles when they fell
The show ended and we all left to walk into a downpour. Now we didn't get any rain last year so it's the first time we have experienced just how heavy it can be. We pop into a couple of shops to stay out of the rain and buy a few items. It's at this point they make the announcement that the park has run out of ponchos. Oh, I was there to pick some up, as the huge queue emptied I figured they too were after them.
I hadn't prepared our bag for rain, well this much rain. So we hung around under door ways trying to stay dry to see if it was going to move on....
DDs all cry they are hungry and off to the Crown Colony House Restaurant for some hot food. When we got there it seemed as if everyone else had had the same idea
Stupidly, and yes it was my idea
we put our names down to eat outside. It was covered but that only works if the rain doesn't come down at an angle!!! However, in my defence we would have had to wait hours to eat inside.
DH had steak, the rest of us had chicken sandwiches. The food was okay. I wished we'd had the house special as that looked really good. Our chicken sandwiches were fine, I wouldn't have them again though. I'm guessing but it came to about $70.
DDs and me all decided we wanted to go back to the villa. The rain wasn't getting any lighter, we were not dressed for anything but hot sunny weather, so we called it a day. I know my DH would have gone on, but since he's the only one covered in a nice insulating layer of fur, he doesn't feel cold like we do
. Off to the villa.
The storm did get worse. Thunder and lighting. Not frightening at all. I'm totally yea
thunderstorm in Orlando. My DDs swam in the pool - mainly to say they had swam in a storm ( we need to get out more
) to their friends. In the end we all joined in.
My DH and DDs spent a lot of time splashing each other in the pool. There's no such thing as a relaxing swim when they're about. Although my DH says they start it, I know who does really
coz I watched.
The swimming ended when the temperature dropped dramatically. Blue, wet, shaking and cold we ran into the villa and got dressed.

The weather was worse today, much. So we all stayed in the villa. Popped out to get some more food and across to the community centre to use the internet room. DD1 and 2 not too impressed as you could only spend 30mins on it, not the usual 24 hrs
It was in case of days like these that I had booked a villa with a games room. Oh hold on that was before the upgrade
now we had a double garage and a tennis ball
. So much more fun than a game of air hockey.
The TV weather report looked promising for the next day which was good as we had a Saving the Species tour booked at Sea World. A hot meal and we all went to bed early.
