Sorry if this has already been posted, but couldn't find the answer! I'm sailing on the Magic in August with my two nieces, one is 16 and her sister is 13, but will turn 14 in September. Is there any possibility that the younger sister will be allowed into Vibe with her older sister?

Vibe ages are 14-17. Best answer is possibly. Sometimes, if the cruise isn't full(and Vibe isn't maxed out on kids in the correct age group), they will let someone not in the correct age range in.

Be aware that there are reports that under aged kids sometimes are not treated well by the kids that are the correct ages, and view them as invading "their" space. And I've read that sometimes the activity there can be a bit more "mature" than I'd like my 13 year old to participate in.

She will be encouraged to try Edge first. If the cruise is full (specially with many kids) she might not even be allowed.

Note within the ages groups, they tend to divide up as well on both Edge and Vibe. Both groups typically do a couple of shared activities (or more of a competition one) like the scavenger hunt or 'gender wars'.

Finally, you should consider the maturity level as well.

The OPs DD is a month shy of being the correct age...I don't think she would be seen as invading their space. They probably won't even notice unless someone says something about her "not belonging".

I was also wondering this since my DS is in the same situation for our July cruise. He is entering HS in the fall and would probably prefer the activities in Vibe over Edge. He has always been one of the youngest in his class but everyone he hangs out with is 14/15 already. He's hoping he can move up but is aware that he may not be able to.

When we were on the Baltic, they did allow him to move up early from the Lab to Edge. He was on a trial the first day but it wasn't a problem at all for him.
