We have a reservation at Via Napoli at 7:45 and would like to know if we would be able to see the fireworks display from our restaurant. I believe the show starts at 8:00. Thank you
I don't think so. There are some tables that would either be out in the courtyard area or against the glass but there will probably be so many people standing between Via Napoli and the lagoon that it would make viewing close to impossible. The restaurant is at the back of the Italy pavilion.

Except for around Xmas, Epcot always closes at 9:00 and Illuminations always starts at 9:00 PM.
And as others have posted Via Napoli is around 350 feet from the edge of the lagoon and depending on the time of year there will be crowds of people between you and the show.
Also most of the show is at water level. Very few of the fireworks are up high. Even if you stood out side in front of the restaurant you would miss 95% of the show.
ETA: Via Napoli is more than 100 feet from the lagoon and there is no line of site to the globe.
No you do not have to leave at 9.
Illuminations starts at 9 It lasts about 15 minutes. Folks line World Showcase Lagoon and stand and watch Illuminations. It is amazing and much more than a fireworks show. You should Google it and get more info. It includes music and torches and fire and lasers etc. Much of it is performed on the water of the lagoon.
Once Illuminations ends, folks travel, en masse, to the exit to leave.
Have Fun
Ok I was A little confused but this question comes up a lot.
All the parks have a closing time, which means that they shut off the queues to the rides and start to close down the carts. It doesn't mean you have to leave the park. In fact the park will be open for another hour or so even if there wasn't an end of night show that night, which happens at MK and DHS.
So at Epcot some attractions in FW close at 7:00 and all attractions close at 9:00. People then stay and watch the show. After the show people start to make there way to the exits.
Some will rush to beat the crowd but you don't have to leave right away. You can still shop and maybe get something to eat but its limited. Around an hour or so the CMs will encourage you to make your way to the exit.
The issue with your 7:45 res is that I doubt you will be done eating and out the door before Illuminations starts. In fact you will probably miss the entire show.
Also I don't think they will let you leave and come back.
The only restaurants that are really setup to watch Illuminations are the Rose and Crown and the one in Mexico thats on the water.
shop or eat ice cream (or both) after park hours at the MK. That allows the crowds to dwindle. Much of the time we sppend doing this would be spent waiting on a bus back to our resort.
Later this month, when we're there, the second showing of Fantasmic will start at 10:30 with the park closing at 10:00.
