I am aware that Via Napoli is a sit down restaurant. I really want to order a couple of pizzas and take them to go....think that they will have any way to accomodate this?? I have seen rumors on here that they will have a carry out window but short of this think I can just order the pizza and get them to go?? Staying at BW.....

I think that there will be a tremendous demand for pizza to go, but it remains to be seen if they ever offer it.

At this time, it's sit-down service only, unfortunately.

It is way over due for WDW to do a good pizza place. Now it is time for them to do the take out. Take heed WDW and do it!

The only pizza window I'm aware of is the one on the Boardwalk...not so bad either...but not the greatest - granted!

The thing is, this place looks great! BUT, where would you take this pizza? Outdoor seatng?? Back to your resort?? I wish there was someplace Disney offered like the window at the BWI, or that would deliver this pizza to your room.

I think almost every city in this county is way overdue for a good pizza palce.
I can't see them doing takeout in Epcot. Maybe slices, but not whole pies.

We can hope, but I think they are selling enough of the cardboard pizzas already that they don't need to deliver or have good take out pizza.

BTW: Do we even know if it is any good yet?

The pizza does not taste nearly as good when it's taken "to go".

The property in Disneyland Resort (Napolini---the CS attached to Naples, the TS) does pizzas by the slice. They are only "okay", but when you order the pizza in the TS restaurant (it's the SAME pizza, by the way), it tastes 10x better.

This is the reason given by the President of Patina Group for not having a take out window for pizza at Via Napoli. Although, he speculated that they may do it in the future, he said that the quality suffers (and he's right). When you let thin crust, wood fired pizza sit around, it gets very soggy. It's difficult to reheat because it's so delicate.

In addition, just so you know, ONE SLICE of margherita pizza at Napolini at DtD is $5. That does not include a drink or anything.

You could certainly sit down, order a pizza and then ask for a box and the check, and get out of there. Not sure where you'd eat your pizza, though. Or, reheat it for later.

My thought is that they don't want big empty pizza boxes scattered all over the WS.

You know when you a large to go and finish it at home you now have a 16" square box that doesn't fit in any garbage can you own.

Make a ressie, order your pizza and then get a box to go. DW and I plan on doing that in Oct. for F&W fest. We are staying at the BCV so we will get the pizza run it back to the room, put it in the fridge for later and go back and enjoy the festival.

I've thought of this too...me and DS have ressies in October (staying at BWV) I'm thinking of us just ordering appitizers and drinks first, and then taking the Pizzas back to our room to relax and eat later (also have left overs for breakfast!!)

This might work, except I do wonder what size boxes they will have, ...could be really difficult to fit a whole pizza in the usual small size leftovers boxes the Disney restaurants have. Since they're not a "to-go" restaurant, they may not even have pizza boxes.

We're going in 3 weeks...will ask about what sizes the to-go/leftovers boxes are & report back!

Well, If they dont have big enough boxes, I will get however many small boxes I need to get it back to the Beach Club. Its not a very far walk from there at all. Will anxiously await your report on the sizes in 3 weeks. Thanks for doing that.

A couple of weeks ago at Epcot, I saw several people walking around with pizza "to-go" boxes and I am certain they contained their leftovers from Via Napoli. So I think they have the boxes. Just can't imagine making ADR's, sitting down, ordering NO drinks, waiting for a pizza & then asking for them to make it "to go" - mighty expensive tip to boot.

Does anyone know if there's a bar/bar seating in Via Napoli? That's a good way to get a slice and a drink if they don't do take out and you don't want to sit at a table.

and first off: FANTASTIC pizza, excellent service. That's the good news.

But the Bad news for take-out pizza fans: there is no easy way to get a Via Napoli pizza to-go. Not even a particularly good way to take more than one slice of your leftovers, for that matter. The Via Napoli left-overs box is just a standard 8.5 inch square foam box like all the other restuarants and the interior of the box has sloped sides, of course, so it's more like 6" square compartment...really bad fit for carting pizza, unless you do have just one piece left. They do not have any actual American-style pizza boxes...our waiter said Via Napoli does not have "the paper carry out boxes" just the "foam leftover boxes."

I asked if they would ever get the special pizza boxes and the reply was "no, we will not: we do not have the carry-out serving here, this is for the eating at the table in the restaurante."

We actually had just over 1 whole individual left over...1/2 of husband's and slightly more than 1/2 of my individual pizza. We had to fold each 1/2 pizza over like a sandwich & stack our folded slices to fit them in here. Here's some pictures, outside & in, of the foam left-overs box. We had already eaten 3 pieces by the time I remembered to take a picture, but what's left in here is 1/4 of a personal-sized pizza...this individual slice measured approximately 5.5" x 6.5" (it's the prosciutto e melone personal pizza...absolutely delish, by the way) It's hard to see it in the picture, but the pizza slice is actually a little curled up: when I first put it in the box, the pizza slice exceeded the base of the box, so as it cooled, the sides re-shaped to the fit of the box...the piece looks smaller than it actually was because of the curled sides.

Our waiter had no problem bringing us the foam box, but he was pretty adamant that they would not offer a better to-go box because "Via Napoli is not a take-out serving restaurante, sorry"

Just for the record, the pictures from Via Napoli all look fabulous, and I consider myself somewhat of a pizza snob!

I have more pictures...of the full pizza, as well as appetizers, dessert and beverages. Will post later with a full "Miss Piggy" review. The pizza is fabulous. And the leftovers were wonderful...not as good as fresh out of the oven, but very acceptable pizza left-overs.

Thanks so much, CATNE! I can't wait to try this place. I have my eye on the same pizza you're showing here...
