Hi there!

- I'm looking to find someone who has eaten pizza at Via Napoli to tell me how big they are. My husband and two girls ( ages 8 and 10) will be going and I'm wondering if we would need a large or a 1/2 meter.

Any advice?

Thanks!

I want to say the large was 8 slices, but not BIG slices. It might be big enough if you have a salad and/or app before hand.

My DS15 and I went in Feb. 2011 and got a large pizza. It was way too much and we are both big pizza eaters.

It would have been better if there were 4 of us. So I would say a large pizza would work well for you.

Ok, so now I am torn. Anyone else that can give their input?

Thanks again for the replies.

I'd have to agree with LSUfan. We are a family of five, 2 adults, three children under 10. We had drinks, salad, pizza and felt full although we did get desert oriented treats afterwards!

We ate there last week. Ordered two of the half-meter pies (is that what they are called?)

There were 8 adults. We finished both pies.

I think a half-meter is good for 4 people, maybe there would be one or two slices left.

So if your kids will want to eat 2-3 slices each, I would go with the half-meter.

Four of us (adults) ordered the half meter pizza last June. Thank goodness we ordered soup and asked for some bread, because we would have left the restaurant hungry. Of course my sons are 21 and 22 years old so I'm pretty sure that they ate more than your daughters will LOL!

Please consider that the Via Napoli pizza has a very thin crust. If you're used to eating deep-dish pizza you will find this less filling(still good though). As a guesstimate, if you normally get full with two pieces of "regular" pizza, you might eat three or four of the Via Napoli pizza :earsboy:

Family of three 2A and one 16 yo. We got the appetizer platter to share and the large pie. We did not finish either. We did not order dessert and were full. I believe what was left from both would have fed one additional person--2 slices of pizza and the app.

If your tagline family photo is relatively current, one large (with a salad or shared app) will be plenty. Also, don't forget. You will probably know halfway into your pizza if it will be enough. If it won't be, call over your server and put in an order for an individual pie. There is no rule that says that you cannot add on to an existing order. A pizza in a 700-800 degree oven will only take 5 minutes to cook once it is assembled.

My husband and I were there last week and ordered the fried vegetables appetizers and a large pizza and only ate half of it. It seemed like it should be for 3-4 people, not 2-3.

Here are pictures of the 1/2 meter pizza. Its big but not too big. The large I would say is roughly the same size of most other pizza places. Like others said it is on the thin side so not as filling as a normal hand tossed would be. There were 4 of us adults and we demolished the pizza with no problem at all lol.

Hahahaha same here. It sure made me want pizza so I went and grabbed some on my lunch break lol. Not anything like the goodness at Via Napoli thats for sure.

Thanks again for all the replies! The pictures helped- I think we'll get a salad and a large pizza...

Decision, decisions.....

I love these boards!

A little off topic, so I apologize. Does anyone know if there is ANY chance of a Via Napoli walk in for dinner? If so, do you know how long in advance you should get in line? Thanks.

Yeah just compare it to a large at your local pizza place, does your family go thru a large with no problem? If so then maybe look into the 1/2 meter or the salad and appetizer but if not then just go with the large.

I posted the same question as the OP but i'm not sure. There will be 5 of us this trip..it's our last park day...our last TS meal...I'm sure we will be hungry after going over to the Poly for the Dis meet....We were thinking of getting a 1/2 meter but I don't think it will be enough...

We lucked out the one time we went with a walk in table. Granted it was a Friday Afternoon around 2pm in late February and just by chance i mentioned to everyone about having pizza so i walked over to Via and hostess told me 15 min but only waited 5. We had 4 adults and a baby. During heavy dinner and lunch hours you may have less luck I would imagine.
