I am trying to budget how much to spend at Via Napoli as we are doing F&W and VN for the 1st time in the same day this trip. I know we only want to try their pizza but not sure how much I should allot. Trying to decide if 2 individual pizzas would work or if we should get 1 large etc.
I understand that they are individual, large and half yard but can anyone tell me what the size is of each of them in inches and how many slices are in each? I can;t seem to find this info. anywhere online. :confused3
Pictures of each of the 3 sizes would be very helpful!:thumbsup2

Sorry I dont have pictures or the exact size but one individual pie will feed my DH and I. At least 2 if not 3 size slices each. If youre gonna be at F&W you may not be as hungry. How many of you do you need to feed?

2 adults and 3 kids, ages 12, 9 and 4y.o. Everyone except my dh likes plain but maybe if I let him get more F&W goodies we can compromise on just getting the margarita and not a more expensive one.
We are on an extra tight budget this trip and will not be returning for at least 2 years so we really want to try it. I made our ressie for 3:10 in the afternoon as we plan to hit F&W at noon.

individual

The individual is pretty big in itself, but it is a very thin crust. So perhaps not quite as filling as you may be accustomed to. I do think the individual is enough to feed 2 people, but not if they are starving.

I dont think a small would feed all of you. How bout ordering 2 individual (one plain), it is a few dollars more than the large; but at least you can get 2 different kinds.

I am SOOOOO glad you asked this b/c we are considering doing the same thing next Fall when we go. We really want to try Via Napoli, but will also be at the park for F&W, so I was wondering how we should work around this too :thumbsup2

No the half yard is rectangle shape,we got a large. There were only 4 of us who ate the large and individual pizzas.1 adult 2 teens and a 10 year old.We finished both. They are really not very filling, they are super thin and not much to them topping wise.

Rectangle, eh? That's interesting. Thanks again for the pix@!;)

More importantly, how did they taste? They look good.

We have ADRs for Via Napoli in March and I'm debating whether to pay OOP or use DDP for this.

They were different then ordinary pizza, the sauce didn't have much flavor.I liked it ,the kids thought it was ok,nothing special.

If you use ddp, everyone has to use their credits,so if you have 4 they will make you get 2 large or 4 small.

They cut our individual pizza into four large slices. We cut it to eight at the table. It was about a 12" pizza, I guess. DH ate all but one small slice (mine!). :sad2: He had the pepperoni. They were small but flavorful & the pizza had a slight char. It was good. I had spaghetti, but did sample it. :goodvibes

I'll get pizza next time.

But if you're using DDP, does everyone have to use their credit for pizza? Is that what you're saying or just that you can't use 1 credit and share....

We have 3 in our party, all listed as Disney adults. My DH doesn't really care for pizza, but he will eat the other food (spaghetti & meatballs or lasagna) for his credit and DS and I were each getting an individual pizza. Can we do this?

You can do that just fine.

What the PP meant was that you couldn't just get 2 Individual pizzas for 4 people to share. They're really REALLY picky about the DDP there. So long as the credits and pizzas match up with the number of people ordering pizza, you'll be fine. So, 4 adults getting 2 larges would work, as would them each getting an individual. 3 adults getting 1 large and splitting it all would not.

I'm glad to see at least someone mention the "char" on the pizza. If you look at the individual pizza picture posted earlier just above the salt shaker and see the burnt area... Our pizza that we got last summer was like that over about 1/2 of the bottom as well as the edges as shown in that picture. :confused3 Sorry, I ordered pizza - not charcoal! We sent it back because we could not eat it at all and of course the next one came out halfway cooked and completely soggy. They're definitely on our "not go back to" list and it was also an extremely expensive meal for 2 adults! But we seem to be in the minority because most here seem to like the pizza.

Authentic Neapolitan pizza is supposed to have significant "char."
I know it's not what many Americans are used to... But it's kind of like complaining that your ice cream was cold, or that chili is spicy. That's the way it is supposed to be. If a Neapolitan pizza is not significantly charred, then it wasn't made right.

Exactly what she said, they don't let you share on ddp.As long as everyone uses a credit,it can be for pasta or pizza.

Our waitress was very good. She warned us that the pizza may have char... we were fine with that. We like it. She also warned us our food might come out separately. No problem there either. It let me steal some of DH's pizza. :goodvibes

Well at least there's an explanation! And the server didn't make us feel like complete morons when we couldn't eat it the way it was. I really thought there may have just been a problem with the pizza oven the day we were there! I know I saw them holding the pizza up in the air in the oven on the humongous wooden spatula-type thing - I assume trying to bake the top without burning the bottom beyond recognition!

I agree that it's not what most Americans are used to, so I'd really expect to see others here mention it (since there are likely a few other Americans besides me), but it doesn't seem like I see it mentioned. :confused3

I'll put this in the category of "other people eat bugs too, but I'm not gonna!". :lmao: But again, I definitely seem to be in the minority because we tried it based on the overwhelmingly good reviews I read here before our trip! Just goes to show that it's best to try something yourself and make your own decision about it.
