Love VN...other than their check in process
. We always get the Carciofi pizza and it's phenomenal.

The style they are doing is Neapolitan style pizza, the hallmark of which is crust that can be folded without cracking AND which is supposed to be eaten with a fork and knife. It is 100% authentic in that respect.
OP, the pizza is fantastic. Fresh, high quality ingredients, and minimal ingredients at that. Nothing fake. The cheese is fresh mozzarella so it is a different taste/texture than processed mozzarella. That type of cheese gives off water when it melts which contributes to the soggy factor, which is also why they don't put a lot of cheese on the pizza.
The pepperoni pizza there is the best I've ever had. I visit their CA restaurant here in Downtown Disney Anaheim (Naples/Napolini) at least once a month. They sell the pizza by the slice here and it is consistently the best Neapolitan pizza I've ever had. I grew up in NJ and this pizza is another level good.
I have found that people who don't like it are simply not aware of what Neapolitan pizza should be. If you go to Southern Italy, this is what pizza is like there.
If you are from Chicago, no. I love thin crust pizza, and Via Napoli was awful last month.
Is the pizza actually, truly good at Via Napoli or does it get recommendations because people think it is a reasonably priced meal for the family?
I must be in the minority but I got pizza at the walk up window ( maybe they have better pizza inside ) and it was literally the worst pizza I have ever eaten.. and I have frozen pizza in my fridge for emergencies lol so I know bad pizza .. I did not even finish half of it .. my dd who could live in pizza ate two bites .. wasted money that went into the garbage... but I also didn’t see any of that yummy looking thin crust people are posting .. they gave us thick soggy crust watered down square slices ...
That’s good to know because it was AWFUL! Ick ! Lol

I heard the same complaint from a few people who ordered the largest size pizza. The middle part is soggy. Me, i've only ever ordered the personal size pizza, and its always cooked so perfectly all around.I have only been once, and the pizza was OK. We were a party of 4, and had the largest size available. The pizza seemed undercooked, because a lot of the topping had gathered in the middle and so was still doughy. I don't mind crust on a pizza, but it was like they totally ignored the outer 1.5 inches. It is a good value for a TS if that is what you are looking for. I think the flatbreads at Contempo Cafe are better.
It's about as good as you can get in WDW. We've had it a few times and enjoyed it. Is it the best pizza I've ever had? Definitely not. I have access to world famous pizza in New Haven, CT and NYC. Now that's delicious pizza! Is the pizza actually, truly good at Via Napoli or does it get recommendations because people think it is a reasonably priced meal for the family?
