We are headed to Via Napoli during our trip next week (yay!). My DD is very pick and likes just plain cheese pizza, but it would be more cost effective for us to order a large pizza for everyone to share, so I'm wondering if the margarita would fit that bill. Or would I be better off ordering her a children's cheese pizza?

The Margherita at VN looks like this:

Decide based on your child's wants if this will meet her criteria. There is also a thin crust pie available (mezzo?) but we've never ordered it.

My party of adults and children didn't like the 4 cheese pie but some of us need sauce which isn't on it.
Normally we order a pie to keep DGD happy and then order various appetizers and desserts. At different times we've also ordered the lasagna, meatballs and pasta and all were happy.

Thanks! I don’t think she will like the basil, but we may be able to pick it off. Sauce is a must for her.

The main issue is that, if we order her a children’s, then our other DD will want one too, and I’m trying to stick to a budget :)

You can ask them to please only put basil on half the pie.

Understanding about the budget:).
So I'd order an individual pie and let the two of them share it. Never ordered a child's pie so can't speak about the size difference between the two pies. Maybe if you google you'll find a picture of the two different pies. An individual pie is 18.00 and readily shareable; the child's pie is 9.50.

Something else to be aware of at Via Napoli is that the bottom of the crust is charred. My kids (2 of whom eat pizza pretty much anywhere) did not like it because of that.

Neither of my children liked the pizza here, neither did the adults actually. It was a little "floppy" and as the previous poster said, charred on the bottom. If your DD is used to "normal" pizza this might or might not be the thing for them. My kids weren't thrilled with anything at Via Napoli after two tries but they will eat the lasagna, and basic spaghetti. Some people love it though!

I didn't have a good experience bringing two very picky eaters to this restaurant. The pizza wasn't what they were used to and neither ate more than a bite or two and we had to get them food after we left. The way it's cooked is different, it'll be a little burnt on the bottom.
