Via Napoli and DP question.

I just glanced at the menu and it seems that the largest pizza offered feeds 3-5 people. It's priced at $41. Question is: would we be allowed to use one TS credit for that pizza that feeds all 4 of us (my kids eat like birds). Then we would just pay out of pocket for our beverages, and we could save our remaining 3 TS credits towards our meal at HDDR.

Is this allowed/accepted?

No, unfortunately they will not allow that. For 1 TS credit you get an individual pizza, beverage and dessert. They will also not allow you to pool credits for the larger pizza. It is 1TS credit for one individual pizza only.

The TIW program does not allow you to get a multi-person entree for one credit. Even the pizzas at the Value resort food courts cost 2 (CS) credits each.

When we were there in October we were told that it was 1 TS credit for each person/pizza. You could pool 2 TS credits for the large pizza for 2 people or 3 TS credits for the largest pizza for 3 people, and then the 4th person in our party would need to use the 4th credit on a meal as well.
So for 4 people we HAD to use 4 TS credits.

I would suggest you just pay OOP for the entire meal. a $4x.xx meal for a family is quite a deal! Save the TS credits for another meal.

Typically, Via Napoli does not allow sharing of the large pizza on DDP. If you are using DDP and you want pizza, each person would have to get a personal one. When we were there in 2011, it was just my fiance and I and they did allow us to use 2 TS credits on one large pizza - they said they could "make that exception". However, I have read that they have tightened up on that since then and are enforcing the individual pizzas. And as for the largest pizza they offer, I don't think that was ever allowed as an exception to the dining plan. It was always the large pizza for two people.

When there in October 2012 they allowed sharing of the larger two pizzas on the DDP. Large pizza was shareable for 2 adults and the mezzo metro was shareable for 3 adults. As a party of 4 adults we were allowed to share 2 large pizzas for 4 TS credits, if we had gotten the mezzo metro three adults could share, the 4th adult would've had to get another entree so all 4 adults needed to use one credit each.

Via Napoli won't let DDP users get by with partially using their credits to feed the whole party. They fix it so everyone on the plan is required to use a credit.

For a long time it was no shared pizzas, the credits were good for individuals only. The post above contradicts that, in using 2 TS credits for a large pizza, but note they won't allow 2 TS credits for a large pizza to be served to more than 2 people. And kids' credits can't be used like this; the kids are required to order from the children's menu.
