Via Napoli - ADR Update

Clears up the DDP questions too. One credit per person per meal (it's a TS restaurant). That makes it appear that if you buy a pizza to split they will take 1 credit from everyone. So how will that work if there are both DDP users and non DDP users sharing one pizza? I can't imagine they'd let you order a whole pizza per person for one credit. That would make this place the biggest bargain ever on DDP.

I am a little disappointed, thought it would be a CS option, thats what they need in the italy pavilion, even if it is a slice of pizza for 1 CS credit or something like that.

Maybe those on the DDP can only get the individual size? Or two DDP people share the next size up. Could be interesting!

From WDW Blog

WDW Blog said:
The new restaurant at the Italy Pavilion at Epcot, Via Napoli, will begin taking reservations Aug. 6 for Sept. 10, the official opening day. A “Grand Opening” celebration will be Aug. 5, but the restaurant will be in a “soft opening” walk-in phase with no reservations between then and Sept. 10.

More answers to reader questions from the last blog post:

The restaurant is table service only, no quick service.

Disney Dining Plan is accepted (one point per person per meal).

The hottest menu item is the wood-fired pizza, and it comes in three sizes: individual; large with eight slices; and a “mezzo metro,” or half meter, that is 12 slices.

There is one menu for both lunch and dinner. Average check is around $23.

There are several vegetarian options, including the pizza Margherita, fusilli pasta in a Southern Italian-style pesto, salads, minnestrone and more.

Woot! Woot! I'll mark my calendar. Glad to hear it is on the dining plan.

Good (if not great) pizza is LONG overdue at WDW.

No way to know as it hasn't been announced about TIW, but Tutto Italia takes it and they're run by the same company. That's by no means for certain, but makes it more likely.

Any rumors on whether this restaurant will be an option for a Candlelight Processional Package?

Okay, great. Now I'm obsessing if I should give up something else to walk in this next month or pay OOP to visit the day we leave. Or not go at all. Just when I was running out of things to plan they throw me a curve ball! I'm going to drive my husband crazy talking about this for the next few weeks.

You can eat there starting August 5, but you can't make a reservation unless you are dining September 10 or later.
