Via Napoli - ADR Update

GEEZ...something else to try and add to our jam packed schedule. We will be there during the soft opening phase. Gotta try it!

Okay, great. Now I'm obsessing if I should give up something else to walk in this next month or pay OOP to visit the day we leave. Or not go at all. Just when I was running out of things to plan they throw me a curve ball! I'm going to drive my husband crazy talking about this for the next few weeks.

Tell me about it. Our first full day is at Epcot on September 10th and we already have ADRs for Tuto Italia for dinner. I am contemplating ditching the Tuto ADR and go for an ADR at the new restaurant, my DH however thinks we should keep everything the same and go there the next time we are in Disney (which we go yearly, so it isn't that bad)....such decisions. We have never eaten at Tuto and DH is really excited about this ADR, so I probably will just stick with what I have. Got to keep the DH happy so he can suggest coming back each year :goodvibes

From the same blog, per Pam Brandon, Disney Parks Food Writer...

Via Napoli will honor:
Tables in Wonderland, Lunch and Dinner 20%
DVC Members, Lunch and Dinner 10%
Annual Pass holders, Monday – Friday, Lunch only 10%

Thanks, we will give a try. Would love some great pizza in WDW.

My DH called the dining number last night and the woman said that they aren't even sure when or if they will do reservations...we had mentioned the August 6th date and she said she had not heard anything. :confused3

From today's AllEars newsletter:

The new table service restaurant in the Italy Pavilion at Epcot, Via Napoli, will begin taking reservations on August 6 for September 10 and beyond. Although the "Grand Opening" celebration will be held August 5, the restaurant will be in a "soft opening" with no reservations (walk-ins only) between then and September 10, which is the official opening day. Patina Restaurant Group will operate the new pizzeria, the first authentic Italian pizzeria to ever open in the park. A unique feature at Via Napoli will be the wood-burning ovens, which are named after the three active volcanoes in Italy -- Mount Etna, Mount Vesuvius and Stromboli. Each oven will be sculpted with the "face of the volcano" -- reflecting the gods whose mythology surrounds each volcano's history. The menu, which is the same for both lunch and dinner, includes wood-fired pizza in three sizes: individual; large with eight slices; and "mezzo metro," or half meter, that is 12 slices. There will be a selection of classical Neapolitan pizzas, ranging from pizza bianca, quattro stagioni, piccante, ortolano and a traditional margherita. In addition to the margherita pizza, there are several vegetarian options, including fusilli pasta in a Southern Italian-style pesto, salads, minestrone and more. The average check is estimated to be about $23 and Disney Dining Plan is accepted (one table service credit per person per meal).
