Was watching a VHS movie Wind tonight. What was the last movie you watch on VHS or do you still own a VHS?

I still own VHS tapes, but not a machine to play them on. Mine started eating tapes and I had to throw it out.

I still have both a VHS and tapes. Only a few weekends ago did I throw out any Disney ones that I had on video which I didn't already have on DVD. I still watch the odd one on video when I am at home, mainly when I am ill (like now )

So yes, I still do from time to time!

we have 2 dvd/vhs players but both vhs parts are broken. Our kids videos are on VHS (we still have the sony tapes, though). More importantly, we have the official VHS tape from back when the Ravens won the superbowl. Not sure which DH misses more...

Nope - I don't own a VHS player or any tapes. My parents, though, still have a player, and all our old VHS tapes. I think they're in the garage, though. They don't watch them anymore.

I still use VHS tapes for time shifting favorite TV shows.
(but just as often, I forget to tape them and watch on the computer. Or don't bother to watch the episodes at all.)

Last VHS tape I watched was two months ago - Finding Nemo. First time I ever saw it! Cute movie.

We have two VCR's that still work, but haven't been used in years. One is in the guest bedroom, and one in the living room that is part of a DVD/VCR combo player. I think the last VHS movie I watched was Vegas Vacation like 2 years ago.

Last year about this time, I watched Pinocchio on VHS. I have since upgraded and purchased the DVD that was out earlier this year. Remember when VHS was "Da Bomb".

VHS was so long ago I don't even remember what we watched last. We packed them up because they were just taking up room on the shelf. Videos (mostly Disney) are in a box somewhere.

Growing up my parents had Beta because at the time it was better than VHS but soon there were no movies on Beta. And back then, in the 80s we also had something called a Laser Disc. Many don't know this but they looked like CDs but they were the size of giant records. I remember we Grease on it and I watched it a zillion times. :rotfl:

I have a simple VHS/DVD combo player -- I only use the VHS deck if I have a need to watch a VHS tape (which is becoming more rare for me, these days) or if I am planning to hook the player up to my DVD burner.

We have one in our closet and use it to play old family videos as we convert them all to DVD but that is about it.

I remember Laserdiscs -- they were a predecessor to today's DVD (and pretty much fell out of fashion in the mid-90's, as DVD's were beginning to be accepted by consumers). Much like the way Blu-ray is on the rise, today...

For those who never experienced Laserdiscs, their main disadvantage was each large disc (about the size of a 12" pizza or vinyl album) could only hold 60 minutes of material and had to be "flipped over", like the old vinyl albums.

We have all the old Disney movies from when our older teens were little. They are great for the 5yo because they are much easier to use than the dvds. He can put them in himself and they start right away. We have some of them on DVD, but most of them are old ones that are in the "vault" right now. I also have a MP4 converter and plan to put them all in my itunes library eventually. Only problem is it's done in real time which should take me a couple of weeks at least! :headache:

Yes, nothing like flipping the disc in the middle of the movie! ;)

We have 2 VHS player/recorders, and 2 DVD players. Our VHS in the kitchen still gets daily use because that is what we use to record the soap
"All My Children" 5 days a week. We always watch "All My Children" over dinner. All 4 machines are in perfect working order.
