Hello, friends --

I know these are not RARE (or as expensive as some blogs think);
But i would appreciate some feedback.

I think those of us who do collect the old VHS tapes do it purely for sentimental reasons. There's always hope that someday they might really be worth some of those fleabay BINs, but I don't count on it. The black diamonds have become mighty thin on the ground since people started believing they were worth lots of money. Maybe it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I dont think the variations like the one you show are very well known, which means they won't have a lot of value. Doesn't mean they don't have value to the right person, though. As far as factory sealed tapes go, the ones that have value are the most popular movies; Little Mermaid, BATB, Lion King, etc.

I myself only buy the earliest home video releases when I find them cheap at the thrift store, and vintage souvenir tapes from the parks. My most recent find is a Disneyland Lion King Parade tape from 93. Pretty stoked about it.

Makes sense, great feedback.
Just educating myself on what makes a great collectible.
