VGF Waitlist Experience?

I am wondering what kind of experiences other DVC members have had while being on the waitlist for the VGF? How long have you been on the list? How many points are you looking for? Do you still have hope?

Just curious how things are going for people.

I don't have an answer of experience for you, but I just wait listed one night for a 1br in October (flight changes from original plans have us coming one night earlier now). I don't have high hopes of it coming though on such short notice, so I have a night booked at AKL.

I'd love to be pleasantly surprised around the 31 day mark of someone canceling.

I think the OP meant the waitlist to purchase points at VGF (from Disney) not the waitlist for a room reservation.

I have a friend who has been on the waitlist for almost 4 months now....supposedly up to 3rd in his use year request...started at 5th.

He is now looking resale as well as his guide told him there was no specific time line for availability.
