VGF, unsolicited call from my DVC guide

I posted in a different thread, but thought it deserved it's own thread. I got a call from my rep that it should be soon. It was an unsolicited call saying to expect an email later this week (Thursday) that will gauge interest. He doesn't know exact sale date. He doesn't know price. He does think it will be soon.

I have to give Disney credit - they are good at keeping information under wraps. Who else can keep information this tight in the internet age? Everything gets out. Of course, I don’t suspect snooping agencies like TMZ care too much about DVC. So there is that.

The one thing he did say is that the guides are only given 24 hour notice of sale date and price.

I’m ok not knowing when it goes on sale. That has to be sometime soon. I’m just curious about price. That’ll determine whether I’m in or out. Once I hear price, I’m going to kick back. Nothing like wondering whether or not you’ll be spending $20-$40K in the near future.

I remember when BLT was under construction the sales people acted like it wasn’t there. I don’t remember any leaks. Although my daughter was almost ready to purchase AKL but then asked if maybe she should wait for that other place that nobody talks about to go on sale. If I recall he said you might want to wait 2 months or so. No clue about price but said it might be worth the wait. We had been his clients since 1997.

That is wild. Everything leaks but Disney is able to keep a wrap on almost everything.

My guide called randomly a couple weeks ago too. Wanted to see if I was needing anything. Told him I just closed on a resale contract so was good for now. But that I am definitely still interested in DLT as a CA resident. He did not have a lot of information on that (as expected). Just seemed pretty random when he called me.

DVC knows what you bought. They saw it when it was submitted for ROFR.

Wow! If the Financial Advisor wasn't employed by your bank, I'd be really mad. Banks should NOT be selling/sharing that kind of information!
