In general, you can use BLT as a reference because it has a similar clientele. If I want a DVC resort near MG on monorail, BLT and VGF will both be acceptable. In fact, given a choice, I will pick VGF over BLT so if the dates you are looking for are full for BLT for the type of room, your chance at VGF would be slim too.

However, if you are a non member, you may rent it from VGF owner.. if you are lucky, you may find some initial buyers not ready to travel yet. So post your wish list on the forum, you never know.

You are definitely not alone. I think many travelers have exactly the same plan, wishing to try VGF but holding BLT as backup. I think most people will place VGF wait-list for their travel in the next few months. Good luck competing! I heard you should still check daily on a manual basis because automatic wait-list clearance can be slow.
