VGF- how far from main building?

Hello Disers,

First time trip to VGF coming up in September. My question is this..how far from the main resort building are the Villa's? Do you feel apart of things? What about the pool area..are there seperate pool areas?

Its an easy 5 minute walk from the DVC building to the main resort building. On the VGF Villas and Views thread, ree123 posted a photo of this view from villa #1403, which gives you an idea how close the DVC building is to one of the Grand Floridian's pools, quick service restaurant, Mad Hatter Water Play area, and beach. The main GF pool is further away, but its less than a 10 minute walk from the DVC villas.

Guests staying in the DVC villas have access to all the facilities at the Grand Floridian Resort.

We loved the pool area...didn't like the lockers and the crabby CM running the locker desk. Our unit wasn't ready and we needed to store our valuables, and lockers are operated on tokens and she was running out and actually said she wouldn't be able to give us anymore and to THINK about what we needed. We were a party of 10...I did speak to the front desk at VGF about it. GIVE her more bloody tokens...

The other problem was the walk to the food court....long. Long walk (but doable), and it's pretty far from the boat dock.

We loved it thought, sixth floor lake view. Wonderful to watch a storm blow through from the balcony! Two nights in a lock-off, we all enjoyed it.

The location of the villas is great. It's is nearer the main building than some of the existing hotel rooms!
