Not to change the subject but I caution everyone that WDW is built on a swamp and poisonous snakes and other critters are in the area. Keep on the paths and after dark stay in lighted areas.

Is Disney doing anything to remove the gators from the area once they reach a certain size? When I was living in Tampa, it was standard policy to move the gators from the golf courses once they became a certain size or sooner if they made a nuisance of themselves.

I think the Seven Seas Lagoon alligators most certainly made a nuisance of themselves...

However I don't think Disney feels it needs to do more other than put up signs and erect some fencing. After all, the only water features you're supposed to go anywhere near are the swimming pools. Anything else is just for looking! I can't imagine that regular dredging and retrieval of alligators in the lagoon would do *anything* other than rile up guests and remind them of the incident.

afaik Disney has long had that policy.
