VGF ground transfer to DCL...

Is there anyone planning a pre-cruise stay at VGF? Was just curious about ground transportation from the Grand Floridian. Thanks!

You can pay to have DME take you from the GF to the terminal and back.

I have done transfers from BWV and BLT. We arrived at the port much earlier leaving from BLT which was interesting as the process at both DVCs seemed exactly the same. I'm probably being a little paranoid but I have family traveling with me and I don't want to confirm a pre-cruise night at VGF without knowing it'll be fully integrated into the DCL transfer system. This will be over spring break so I don't want to wait for the 7 month window and risk not getting the rooms I need for 8 people. OTOH, using home resort at VGF will require twice the points (not really but definitely a premium) so I'm unsure what to do.

I imagine you'd just use the same bus stop as those leaving from the Grand Floridian. I don't know of any Disney Resorts that they don't pick up at, even if they are not DVC. We are staying at WLV before our cruise the end of November, and staying at VGF after the cruise...it didn't even occur to me that they wouldn't drop us off at GF.

I did end up booking at VGF for our pre cruise night. MS confirmed no issues with DCL transfers... Pick up would be at GF as I expected. Enjoy your trip!

Thank you, you too!! Can't wait to be able to walk from VGF to the monorail to go to MVMCP this year!! Us going this year after Thanksgiving will be the first to see it decorated for Christmas! I'll try to take lots of pics. I can't wait to see pictures from the first visits!

This will be our first trip at Christmas as well... VGF timing is perfect! I was just talking with my DS about the gingerbread house and decorations. I'm doing a split stay and made sure MVMCP was scheduled during our VGF stay. Can't imagine what it'll be like staying at a monorail resort so close to Christmas! So excited!

You should have ME specifically listed for boarding resort and returning to resort. Got back about a month ago from a Fantasy 7 day cruise...but began and ended at OKW for a nights stay on either end.
