We are staying at the VGC May 15-20 and want to purchase groceries on our way from LB airport to the villa. I have two questions for anyone who has stayed there. Is there a place nearby to shop and will the bell services hold your groceries for you like they do at WDW? Thanks.

I'll be there at the end of June and have the same question. Anyone know about grocery stores in the area? We're driving up from San Diego and would stop just before hitting DL. Since we'll probably be in the park for the afternoon while we're waiting for our room to be ready, I need to know if we should hold off on getting anything that needs to be kept cold. Like my beer.

Bell services has an area where they can hold cold food for you. Just let them know that something needs to be refridgerated and they will take care of it for you.

Responding to the OP you have three ways to get from the Long Beach Airport to the DLR. If you exit the airport and drive straight ahead you're on Wardlow Road, which eventually turns into Ball Road which is the road on the north end of the DLR. If you take this route, about two miles from the airport is a Ralph's on the right. Stay on Wardlow, then Ball Road and you'll end up at DLR in about 30 minutes total.

If you turn right out of the Long Beach Airport on Lakewood Blvd, you'll come to the 405 freeway, go south until you get to the 22 freeway, then get off on Harbor Blvd. On Harbor, near the freeway is an Albertson's. This will also take about 25 to 30 minutes to drive.

If you turn left out of the Long Beach Airport and go up to the 91, then the 5 toward DLR I'm not aware of any grocery stores along that route.

Near Disneyland are some 7-11s and there's a Target (not a Super Target) on Harbor. Their selection of groceries is very poor. There's a Ralph's on the corner of Euclid and Chapman, but I've never been to that one.

Thank you very much for the information. I hope you enjoy your trip. We are looking forward to our visit to CA. We will be spending some time in LaJolla with family also. We decided to go to DL now because the VGC might be difficult to trade into once they are sold out. Hopefully our next trip west will end in Hawaii.
