VGC Founding Member Event March 26

Just received an email announcing a VGC Founding Member event March 26.
The email states there will be a visit with Mickey and Minnie, light refreshments and special offers and other surprises. Strange part is that it's taking place at the PPH! They do state that the new models will be open for viewing during the event.

Time is 7PM. I wish I could attend...unfortunately I have a meeting that day all afternoon I can't get out of.

Otherwise, we'd be taking a roadtrip!

Maybe they will knight us as DVC Guides and send us out into the parks to start selling VGC to the public, part of a cost cutting effort to increase margin...

I am trying to convince my wife to head down and check this out. This is the first time that I've had a hard time convincing her to take a trip to Disneyland, so I am not yet sure whether or not we'll be attending.

I don't think we'll be there either. My husband will be in San Diego and if I found a low fare I could meet him at DL for the night, but I'd rather save the $$ for our upcoming May trip... We need someone to represent the DIS FM team!

The email came out a little too late...just missed SWA Ding fares for $45 each way.

I did manage to snag them for the first weekend in May for San Diego.

I didn't get an email either! I wouldn't be able to go anyway since we are going to San Francisco for spring break. But it sounds like fun!

I received the email, haven't decided whether I want to go or not. Thursday at 7pm means driving through rush hour traffic to get there for me even though it's usually a 20/30 minute drive with no traffic. PPH is where they had the first West Coast DVC event. Large ballroom near PPH's back entrance which is close to the models. We went to that event. There was a fun presentation with Mickey and Friends, some nice door prizes,and I'm guessing there will be some incentives that night if you buy that night. THEN the other reason they use PPH..DVC takes over the 2nd floor conference room for the guides. We talked with our guide last time. Tell the folks downstairs you are interested or want to talk with your guide and they escort you upstairs to an area with refreshments to wait. Then go to your guide's table to "talk".

I don't know that my dh will want to make the drive since he has really early morning meetings on Thursdays. Not crazy about making the trip by myself, maybe talk my DD into going with me. Plus since I'm sure if I'll have a fulltime teaching position next year, we've put off our small add on even after they lowered the minimum. So I'm not sure I want to be tempted.

I know there will be drawings ... he phoned me at work to ask which email address to put on the entry card.
